✨ Svadhyaya – Study of the Self ✨

Svadhyaya is the art of truly recognizing your thoughts, habits, and patterns.
It shows us how we’re really showing up for ourselves and others — versus how we think we are.

It clears the fog of the ego and brings us closer to truth. 🌱

To practice Svadhyaya is to go beyond the constant fluctuations of the mind (chitta vrittis) and touch the wisdom of the higher self.

Often, we imagine ourselves as who we wish to be…
but our choices and actions don’t always reflect that and we aren’t even aware.

So pause. Reflect. Observe.
Stop pretending.
Set yourself free by remembering your true nature.

Ask yourself:
💭 Who am I beyond the noise?
💭 What patterns am I repeating?
💭 Do my actions reflect my inner truth?

Ways to invite Svadhyaya into daily life:
🌿 Silent meditation
🌿 Vipassana
🌿 Reading scriptures or sacred texts
🌿 Biographies & uplifting books

What you gain:
✨ Breaking old cycles
✨ Discovering hidden wisdom
✨ Deep alignment with your higher self

Ishwarapranidhana—simply put—means surrender to the Divine🙏🏻
Not passive submission, but as an act of deep faith. A trust that there’s a higher intelligence always working in your favor, even when the path feels unclear.

To make it clear—surrender isn’t about sitting back, shunning your responsibilities and waiting for the universe to handle it all. It’s not a spiritual excuse. ✨ It’s about showing up fully: Dreaming boldly. Planning mindfully. Working from your heart. …then releasing and not obsessing about the outcome.It's spiritual exercise .

🧘‍♀️So move through life with compassion, awareness and action and trust that what is unfolding is always for your highest good.
Detours = Trainings
Delays = Test
Denials = Blessings

💪 Build your spiritual muscle slowly but surely.

🧿 What’s one area of your life where you’re ready to surrender control and trust the flow?
🧿When was the last time you truly surrendered and how did that work for you?

During challenging times and especially in times of war ,civil discord and the like as a collective or in times of personal crisis whether relationships, health or finances,when the world feels fractured and uncertain, certain yogic concepts become deeply relevant—not just as philosophy, but as tools for inner resilience and collective healing. Every being during these times may feel and act differently based on their inner composition like unique personality traits, belief systems and personal experiences. However , when fear, anger, grief , insecurity and chaos dominate our minds and hearts reality as it should be is clouded.At such yogic principles like Tapa and Ishwasparidhan become not just spiritual ideas but a medicine of sorts for resilience , clarity and inner balance.
_Tapa ( inner fire_): Is the heat internal and external which burns away fear, ego , anger and other low vibrational feelings and purifies your soul to help you to emerge out of this fortified with courage and resilience .
Just like raw gold ,straight from the earth is impure mixed with dust, stone and other particles .When subjected to intense fire the impurities are melted away leaving it refined and radiant and increasing it's worth.

*_What is that burning challenge you're going through? Are you ready to sit through it with awareness allowing your impurities to arise before being burnt away?_*

Some ways to bring Tapa into your life:
🔥 Fasting
🔥 Consistent Yoga practice
🔥Sticking to intentions for your highest good
🔥Self reflection and facing inner shadows
🔥Silent meditation

Devaduuta or the fallen angle pose : Is not a traditional or ancient yoga pose but a modern yoga pose developed by Edward Clark, a London based yoga teacher from Tripsichore Yoga. Though my self practice leans more towards traditional ways ,I not averse to including fun, artistic and creative movements into my practice or regular life . I simply love this pose 😍 as it invokes within me a sense of deep grounding and safety with the thrill of liberation and flight. What's your take on Devaduuta ?

Aparigraha is often translated as non-greed,non-hoarding and non-attachment.

Aparigraha can be practiced in your daily life quite simply by controlling our imbalanced desire to own and hoard things.
How many clothes, gadgets, ornaments,books,shoes,etc do you have which you hardly use? How much more do you need for it to be enough? We need to have a clear distinction between our needs and wants...Try to avoid buying more and more things just because it appeals to you and you can afford it...Even more importantly, stop hoarding things which you haven't used in a long time just because you have a sentimental attachment to it or you're worried you might need it in the future.
Greed , hoarding and attachment doesn't just cost us money but also drains us off our valuable time and energy. Hoarding things means you also need to maintain them...Is it worth all that?
Parigraha or attachment can show up in non-physical things too.Eg: Often we worry so much about a project, business idea or even a holiday being successful that we forget to enjoy the work that goes into it...Worse still just the fear of failure stops us from going ahead with it.
However difficult, bit by bit try to take those small steps closer to your dreams and farther away from the attachment to the outcome...
Let actions be your only concern, don't obsess over the results.Else this will paralyze your growth and progress.

Life can feel overwhelming sometimes and as we navigate it's ups and downs ,we realise how stuck up we are in old habits and patterns which are no longer enhancing our lives or bringing any joy...
In times like these literally turning yourself upside down can give you a new perspective towards the age old challenges or to the the very least offers you a chance to simply have some lighted hearted fun 🤸
I'm having fun with these...Do you enjoy inversions?
