Dr. Menachem Horowitz specializes in Orthopedic Manual Therapy which is effective in treating low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, joint pain, and sports injuries. Menachem received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University in New York, USA. Menachem participated in post-graduate courses in the USA to receive a certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Orthopedic Manual Therapy is a hands-on and specialized treatment approach which includes; deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, stretching, and manipulation to release restricted muscles and joints, and to balance the body. Clients also receive an exercises program with up to date video tutorials, to ensure that the exercises are being performed properly. Other services provided include; Geriatric balance and strength training, Cupping therapy, Electrical stimulation, and Kinesiology taping. Menachem’s goal is to reduce his clients pain and to help them get back to doing what they love, through an effective and systematic approach to physiotherapy.

✨Remove fall hazards and clutter from your home to make your environment safer to navigate

✨Place night lights around your home

✨Wear proper and supportive shoes

✨ There are many ways to exercise and it’s important to find what works for you and what you enjoy!

✨ Most people that give up on exercising usually do so because they don’t enjoy the routine

✨ There are so many ways to exercise

✨Weight training, jogging, swimming, hiking, boxing, jump roping, HIIT, CrossFit, are all one of the many ways to exercise

✨ Finding what is right for you is key

Stretch To Prevent Injury

✨Our muscles consist of thousands of muscle fibers which control the forces moving through the musculature

✨These muscle fibers shorten and elongate with a desired movement

✨When muscles stay static for a long period of time they eventually shorten, become tight, and aren't as responsive to movement

✨If these muscles are suddenly challenged and not “warmed up” to movement this could increase the chance of a strain or tear of a muscle

✨Stretching maintains the flexibility and responsivenes of the musculature

Your body mechanics and posture are important!

✨Different body positions apply different amounts of pressure on your vertebral discs

✨Avoid bending down and leaning over when picking up an object, as it applies more pressure to your vertebral discs and risks injury

✨Try and squat when picking up an object and focus on your body mechanics and position

✨Changing your posture is a lifestyle change

✨It takes postural awareness, exercise, and sometimes hands on work, to change posture in a more permanent way
