We were pleased to host the Macedonia's first lady, Elizabeth Georgievska and the ambassador to Macedonia Dan Oryan at the innovation space.

On a given tour in the hospital the delegation was introduced to Virtual Reality used in rehabilitation for children and a dinner accompanied by a musical performance by Maram, who proves that nothing is impossible in ALYN due to will power and technology🙂

In her current role as Innovation Manager at ALYN Hospital Innovation Space / PELE / ALYNnovation, Sam Rush Soclof combines her passion for social impact, deep interest in the medical and health fields, exposure to the startup world, and experience in leading grassroots initiatives that ignite people to action. She was part of the founding team of ALYN's Innovation Space and has established strategic partnerships with leading multinationals to advance assistive technology around the world. Before joining ALYN, Sam worked in Investor Relations and Marketing at JVP - Jerusalem Venture Partners, where she was introduced to and intrigued by the world of start-ups and hi-tech. Sam holds an MBA in Biomedical Management from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and Business from Arizona State University.

This is true in every aspect of life, but it has definitely been most prominent during my time at ALYN. Meet Wheelchairs of Hope, one of ALYNnovation's portfolio companies, which are now enabling thousands of children with physical challenges in low-income countries to access school facilities and receive an education!

ALYN Hospital is proud to be a part of history in the making as our Director General Dr. Maurit Beeri and our Deputy Director for Clinical Services Naomi Gefen complete a week of sharing their expertise with health professionals in Uzbekistan as part of the launch of Wheelchairs of Hope in the country. From the project's inception, ALYN Hospital staff have been close partners on the development of the low-cost, durable, kid-friendly wheelchairs . Thanks to the indefatigable Wheelchairs of Hope co-founder and entrepreneur Pablo Kaplan, Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan Eddie Shapira, and the visionary Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov for making this a reality!
