Spacious three- room furnished apartment ( sleeps up to 8) in family farmhouse. Situated in the rural Judeah Hills, in Israel, surrounded by cultivation of grapes, olives and herbs; 30min. Recommended trails to hidden mountain springs, anceint sites, wineries, artists and ethnic food . optional- "full fridge"- of local products.

רק כחצי שעה נסיעה מירושלים, אירוח כפרי בדירת שלושה חדרים מרווחים (מקום לינה עד 8 אנשים). כולל המלצות על מסלולי טיול למעיינות נסתרים, אתרי עתיקות, נקודות תצפית, יקבים, אמנים ובתי אוכל מקומיים.
ישנה אופציה לאירוח עם מקרר מלא, בדגש על מוצרים ממשקי האזור.

Our Story

For thousands of years people have been gathering wild plants and learned to generate natural chemicals for variable needs. Information about these practices has accumulated in the environmental culture of the Mediterranean region, some of which has been documented and scientifically researched as well. Enhanced building and marketing alongside dwindling of open lands restrain natural ecosystems and wild species. However, increasing interest in natural sources and traditional knowledge of remedies and nutrition provides an opportunity to conserve and cultivate plants and treasure the information collected about them.

This is what "savouries Farm" was created for: Getting familiar with local plants, cultivating them for healing, nurturing and nourishing care.

With the use of a distillation system, we produce essential oils and byproducts from our farmed plants. We also offer Hikes with a local fragrance, and Rural hospitality.

Our home is located about 30 minutes away from Jerusalem, surrounded by nature and cultural landscape of the Judea Hills. The rural community offers wineries, ethnic foods, hiking, biking, horseback, and lots of quiet.

The guest double room is spacious and is ideal for a couple or a single tourist. There is a comfortable desk, a big closet, and an extra mattress can be added. We also have a Shared room, which is great for lone-travelers or small groups that don't need more than a mattress for the night. Shower and bathroom are shared.

You can enjoy the outer porch, overlooking the farm and surrounding nature, use the garden for cookouts, and vegetable and herb garden for local tastes. The kitchen is well equipped for comfortable home cooking.

Pickups and guided hikes can be arranged as well as lots of advice and contacts for independent travelers, in Israel and neighboring Palestine.

במשך אלפי שנים אנשים ליקטו צמחי בר ולמדו להפיק חומרים אלה ולהשתמש בהם למגוון צרכים. התפתחות מואצת של בנייה ומסחר תוך צמצום שטחים פתוחים, מגבילים את קיומן של המערכות האקולוגיות הטבעיות ואוכלוסיות הבר בהן. עם זאת, התעניינות גוברת במקורות טבעיים וידע מסורתי לריפוי והזנה מהווים הזדמנות לשימור וטיפוח מיני צמחים והמידע הנרחב שהצטבר אודותיהם.

העיסוק ב"זוטות" כולל גידול חקלאי של צמחי בר מקומיים, מערכת לזיקוק שמנים אתריים מצמחי המשק, והכנת מוצרים נלווים, סיורים בסביבה ואירוח ביתי בניחוח מקומי עם נוף, שקט ופרטיות.

מושב מטע נמצא רק כחצי שעה נסיעה מירושלים, וכשעה מתל אביב. הוא מוקף מסלולי טיול למעיינות נסתרים, אתרי עתיקות, נקודות תצפית, יקבים, אמנים ובתי אוכל מקומיים.

בבית יש שני חדרי אירוח. החדר הזוגי מרווח, ומתאים לזוג או ליחיד בחופשה פסטורלית. החדר השני מיועד למטיילים שרק צריכים מזרן לשינה במהלך הטיול. חדר האמבטיה והשירותים משותפים. ניתן להשתמש במטבח המרווח והמצויד, וליהנות מהמרפסת המשקיפה על המשק וההרים מסביב.

יש אפשרות לתיאום סיורים חוצי גבולות (ואדי פוכין, בתיר, בית לחם) והדרכה מקצועית להכרת המעיינות, מורשת הנוף, החי והצומח של הרי יהודה. נשמח גם לסייע בהכנת מסלולים, מידע ושילוב פעילויות אחרות באזור.
