They keep saying that AI will eliminate (and we’re using polite wording here) the SaaS model. That generative and agentic AI are disrupting SaaS by automating tasks and replicating workflows. That clients can get something working with vibe coding and connect to every integration in the world, and that whatever they build will work like a charm.

However… It’s very clear that:

a. That’s not going to happen
b. The SaaS model is still the best thing that happened to medical labs since the invention of the computer
c. Good luck explaining to the compliance auditor that ChatGPT wrote the LIS 😀
