הבוקר התקיים יום עיון מיוחד באוניברסיטה העברית הדסה בירושלים לזכרו של פרופסור נח שטרן ז"ל
פרופ' שטרן היה מוותיקי הפקולטה לרפואת שיניים בהדסה מאז שנות ה 60'.
ב 1970, מייסד החברה שלנו מר' אריה שטראוס ז"ל חבר אל פרופ' שטרן בבקשה ללמוד ולהיחשף לעולם ייצור מקדחי יהלום לשימוש דנטלי.
פרופ' שטרן אשר הכיר והעריך את הכוונה ליצור חברה יצרנית, מקצוענית מהמעלה הראשונה סייע רבות לאריה שטראוס. אריה הצטרף להרצאות, שיעורים ודיונים אשר הולידו את פיתוח המקדחים הראשונים תחת ייצור של חברת שטראוס ושות.
שיתוף הפעולה הוליד חברות ארוכת שנים וחמישה פרופילים של מקדחי שיניים אשר פותחו במסדרונות הדסה הפכו למעלה מ 2000 מוצרים בקטלוג הנוכחי שלנו. חברת שטראוס הגשימה את החזון של ייצור ישראלי, ייצוא לכל העולם וכיום מוצרינו זמינים לרכישה בכ- 90 מדינות ברחבי העולם.
אנחנו היינו ונשארנו חברה משפחתית. לעולם נוקיר, נזכור ונעריך את הקשר הראשוני עם פרופ' נח שטרן שפתח את הדלת וסלל את הדרך עבורנו להפוך למי שאנחנו היום. החברים שלנו, שהפכו ללקוחות שלנו - ולהפך, תמיד יישארו איתנו לאורך השנים ותרומתם לחברת שטראוס אף פעם לא תישכח.
This morning, a special memorial symposium was held at the Hebrew University , Hadassah School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem in honor of the late Professor Noah Stern.
Professor Stern was one of the senior faculty members at Hadassah since the 1960s. In 1970, our company’s founder, the late Mr. Arye Strauss, approached Professor Stern with the intention of learning and exploring the field of dental diamond bur manufacturing.
Professor Stern recognized the vision of establishing a professional, leading Israeli manufacturing company in the field and generously supported our early development. Through lectures, discussions, and close collaboration within the corridors of Hadassah, the first Strauss dental bur profiles were developed , laying the foundation for what would eventually grow into more than 2,000 products featured in our catalog today.
Strauss & Co. has remained a family-owned company, rooted in Israeli manufacturing and now serving dental professionals in approximately 90 countries worldwide. We continue to honor and deeply appreciate the academic partnership that helped shape our early path.
We will always cherish and value the initial connection with Professor Noah Stern, who opened the door and paved the way for us to become who we are today. The friends who became our customers , and vice versa , remain part of our journey and their contribution to Strauss will never be forgotten.
