בתור סטודנט לרפואה אנשים היו מתייעצים איתי לגבי מצבם הרפואי, בעיקר דרך הטלפון.
הייתי מקבל תמונות של פריחות, תוצאות של בדיקות דם, הודעות לחוצות לגבי חום שלא יורד. בתחילת הדרך הייתי מתחמק בעדינות מלקחת אחריות אבל היום כשאני כבר רופא קשה להתעלם מכמות הפניות. תמיד חששתי מלתת עצות רפואיות כאלו, פחדתי להרגיע ויום אחרי זה לשמוע שמשהו חמור יותר קרה. עד שיום אחד, שיחת וואסטאפ אחת ביני לבין חבר, שיחה שהצילה את הילדה שלו, גרמו לי להסתכל אחרת לגמרי על עתיד הרפואה.

לטכנולוגיית המובייל יש תפקיד הולך וגדל ברפואה המודרנית ושימוש נכון ואחראי בה יכול ל לגשר על פערי תקציב, ידע ומרחק ולקרב בין חולים ורופאים ברחבי העולם.

עם ההבנה הזאת באה גם היוזמה. יחד עם שני חברים הקמנו את "דוקיומי", סטראט-אפ שמטרתו לקצר את התורים בבתי החולים, מתוך חזון לפנות זמן למפגש אמיתי בין החולה לרופא, מפגש בו מסך המחשב לא מתווך באמצע. דרך שאלונים חכמים הרופא חוסך זמן בהקלדה, מעמיק בשאלות ספציפיות למקרה, ומקבל התראות על "דגלים אדומים" להם הוא צריך לשים לב.

לכן יצרתי את ההרצאה "יונתן גופר הוא ד"ר גוגל". הרצאה שסוקרת את המידע הרפואי ברשת, את החידושים האחרונים, את האתגרים שהיא מציבה בפני הרופאים והחולים, ואת העתיד החדשני שאליו היא הולכת. ההרצאה נותנת כלים לציבור המטופלים והמטפלים, כיצד להתמודד עם שפע המידע ברשת באופן אחראי ואמין.

אני שמח להזמין את כל מי שהנושא מעניין אותו להרצאה בנושא ולשיחה אחריה - בנושא רפואה דיגיטלית, טכנולוגיה, סטארט-אפים והצלת חיים.
