A new opportunity to join Biop’s R&D team developing an innovative diagnostic device for cervical cancer.
BSc Physics students in their last year/ MSc Physics students / Electrical Engineering Students specializing in Electro Optics. .
Successful applicant will be working with our senior team members and will be responsible for testing and verification of optical equipment at the company’s Optical Laboratory.
Lab work experience- an advantage
Knowledge of LabVIEW – an advantage

We are seeking to hire a: Manufacturing and NPI Engineer whם will join our team as we move to the next stage of production towards commercialization of our device.

Job Description:

• Take ownership of all the mechanical and optical assemblies and manufacturing of the company’s medical devices.
• Product transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
• Lead the mechanical production aspects including defining, auditing, managing subcontractors, etc.
• Mechanical/electrical/optical parts and components purchasing and inventory management.
• Write, implement and monitor Work Instruction and Route Card documents as part of the Quality Assurance procedures
• Progress the company’s ISO certification

Required Experience:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Experience in design transfer to production
• Practical knowledge and experience in mechanical assemblies
• Experience in purchasing
• Experience in manufacturing supervisory and support
• Background in electro-optics assemblies
• Knowledge in manufacturing technologies as precision molding, CNC manufacturing, etc.
• Background in SolidWorks – Advantage
• Knowledge in ISO 9001 (ISO 13485 – Advantage)
• Experience in an FDA regulated environment- Advantage

Shiri Gordon Biop's Head of Algorithm recently returned from Spie Bios and Photonics West, the largest biophotonics, biomedical optics and imaging conference, organized by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. Dr. Gordon presented Biop Medical's novel multimodal optical imaging device for cervical cancer screening and diagnosis at the Diseases in the Breast and Reproductive System conference.

Biop developed a device that maps the cervix and identifies cancerous and precancerous cells in epithelial tissues
