Charity Online Curriculum in Schema Therapy for Children and Adolescents (accredited by ISST e.V. for certification in ST-CA)
*****************************************************************
In order to mitigate the dire consequences for children during the Corona pandemic the Schema Therapy Institute IST-K Cologne offers in collaboration with Dr. Christof Loose a Charity Online Curriculum in Schema Therapy for Children and Adolescents (ST-CA). For every participant we will donate 200 € to UNICEF (https://www.unicef.org.uk/donate/coronavirus/).
The training will cover the entire basic training in ST-CA with 64 teaching units evenly distributed on 16 dates from September 2020 to April 2021.
Christof prepared a vivid program with live-presentations, videos, chat-rooms, working with the white-board, and many sessions in breakout-rooms (e.g. discussions, role-play, self-disclosure, kahoot®-Quiz etc).
If you are interested in the ST-CA online curriculum please have a look at our short youtube trailer that informs you in 6 minutes about the webinar’s content:

We are so happy and proud to present our new book about Schema Therapy for Children & Adolescents (Editors: Christof Loose, Peter Graaf, Gerhard Zarbock, & Ruth Holt) to our precious Schema Therapy Society. It took us a long time to translate and adapt it to an English-speaking audience; and with the aid of Ruth Holt (Canberra), and many many other supporters who we cannot mention here all, we finally managed to realize its publication. It is available e.g. here:

Corona -The Uninvited Guest - free download booklet
This booklet was written especially for you to deal with these challenging times. I wrote it in order to allow us to "normalize" and to even "befriend" the coronavirus, by making use of a cute, small corona-like figure, instead of portraying it as a monster or enemy that wants to harm us.

How to play CBT on Zoom:

This game is designed to exercise ‘Thinking Traps’. The game allows us to practice the connection between harmful thoughts and their matching Thinking Traps.

Connect to Zoom. The therapist opens and shares the link to the Thinking Trap wheel:
https://wheelofnames.com/pqg-uu7

Then, the therapist chooses one of the Event Cards from Playing CBT and reads it out loud.

Next, he or she spins the Thinking Trap wheel and the first player to express a harmful thought that matches the event and the trap earns a point.

An example of an event: All the classes are going on a field trip.
We spin the Thinking Trap wheel and stop at “Jumping to Conclusions”.
Player 1: “I don’t think it will be fun”.
This matches both the event and the Thinking Trap, therefore he or she will earn a point.

We recommend playing 6-10 spins per game.
The player who expresses the largest number of matching harmful thoughts is declared the winner.
