Lecture: The Quest for Replacing Our Own Skin

When regenerative medicine is applied to skin there are different modalities to expand our own skin by mechanical methods. These methods let the skin grow to fill the gaps by meshed skin or cutting the skin into dots and placing them at a certain distance to fill the gap on their own. In major burns, the existing modalities are insufficient for coverage when there is almost no normal skin left. Growing and expanding the patient's residual normal skin is our aim.

Honorary Associate Professor, International Centre for Eye Health, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London, UK,
Lecture: A Global Collaboration to Battle Pediatric Eye Cancer.

Professor Fabian is the initiator of the Global Retinoblastoma Study Group, and of the Rb-NET MDT Project, which links between local retinoblastoma centers from low-and middle-income countries and international experts in the field. His main focus is on retinoblastoma in the African continent (30% of global cases), where he continuously endeavors to improve the outcome of little kids with retinoblastoma.

Dr. Abigail Livny-Ezer PHD, Head of the Diagnostic Neuroimaging Laboratory, Sheba Medical Center. Assistant Professor at Sackler Faculty of Medicine, and Sagol School of Neuroscience, Tel-Aviv University. A member of the "Nehemia Rubin Excellence in Biomedical Research", the TELEM program.

Lecture: Imagine Your Brain Had a Fingerprint.

Imagine we could detect each individual’s unique brain neural-print, based on their MRI scan. What could we do then? I will present the idea that different brain diseases have their distinctive neural-print, which can be identified using personalized maps of the brain's connections combined with Artificial Intelligence. Using our novel system we will improve diagnosis, outcome prediction and personalize treatment.

New therapies are needed for childhood cancers. For this we use T-cells, a power form of the immune system, and educated them to specifically target tumor cells. This revolution will serve us in treating many more cancers in the future.
