Recently at Harvard University, a symposium of Israeli healthcare professionals convened to share how Israel's public health system is "doing more with less."
The symposium was initiated by Dr. Uri Manor, an internist and medical administration fellow at Sheba Medical Center, currently completing a year of study at Harvard University. Dr. Manor brought together these leading healthcare professionals to showcase Israel's daily reality of coexistence, compassion, and equity — where Jewish and Arab healthcare professionals work side by side, saving lives even during turbulent times.
The event, fully supported by Harvard's academic and operational teams, proved a resounding success, drawing a diverse audience and even a surprise visit from Prof. Yitshak Kreiss, who offered his remarks at the opening of the symposium.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Manor for his vision and initiative in bringing this important conversation to one of the world's most prestigious academic stages. Equal gratitude to Harvard's academic and operational teams for their seamless support in making this event a reality.
We are deeply grateful to the distinguished Israeli healthcare professionals who joined and shared their expertise, and to Jeffrey J. Fredberg, Professor Emeritus at HSPH, for his thoughtful closing remarks.
