🌟 Proud to support a key collaboration advancing Peru’s pomegranate export sector!

This Monday, February 24th, together with Fiamma and Progranada, we are organizing an important seminar in Ica.
Prof. Ron Porat from the Volcani Center (Agricultural Research Organization, Israel) will join Dr. Gary Ward, CTO of StePacPPC, to share insights, experience, and practical guidance with Peruvian exporters.

🍎 Seminar topic:
“Post-Harvest Management of Pomegranates with Emphasis on Acclimation and the Use of Xtend® Modified Atmosphere Packaging for Cold Quarantine Treatment and Export to China”

This season marks a milestone. Peru has received approval to export pomegranates to China under the cold quarantine treatment protocol. As the industry enters this new phase, proper training and preparation are essential.

Prof. Porat and Dr. Ward will present how proper fruit acclimation, combined with the use of Xtend® modified atmosphere packaging, helps mitigate chilling injury during cold quarantine treatment. They will also share insights and experience from implementing similar protocols in other export markets.
