৩ বছরের একটি মেয়ে গত ৮ মাস ধরে মলের সাথে তাজা রক্তের সমস্যা নিয়ে আমাদের কাছে এসেছিল (Bleeding per Rectum)। অনেক ওষুধ খাওয়ার পরেও কোন উপশম হয়নি এবং তার হিমোগ্লোবিনের মাত্রাও কমে গিয়েছিলো

প্রাথমিক পরীক্ষার পর, আমরা কোলনোস্কোপি(Colonoscopy) করেছিলাম এবং জানতে পেরেছিলাম যে রেক্টাল পলিপ (RE**AL POLYP) আছে যা রক্তপাতের কারণ ছিল।

আমরা কোনও ওপেন সার্জারি ছাড়াই কোলনোস্কোপি এবং পলিপেক্টমির মাধ্যমে রেকটাল পলিপ অপসারণ করেছি ( Colonoscopic Sanre Polypectomy & Hemoclip application). এখন মেয়েটি সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ এবং আর কোন

৫ বছরের ছেলেটি আমাদের কাছে এসেছিল রক্ত বমি নিয়ে(Hematemesis). গত ৬ মাসে ৩ বার রক্ত বমি হয়েছে , কিন্তু বারবার দেখার পরেও কারণ খুঁজে পাওয়া যায়নি

নিয়মিত পরীক্ষার পর, আমরা আপার জিআই এন্ডোস্কোপি করেছি (Upper GI Endoscopy) , আমরা দেখেছি খাদ্যনালীর শিরাগুলি প্রসারিত হয়েছে (ESOPHAGEAL VARICES) এবং রক্তপাত সেখান থেকেই হয়েছিল (Variceal Bleeding). আমরা এন্ডোস্কোপির মাধ্যমে এই প্রসারিত শিরাগুলির ব্যান্ড লাইগেশন করেছি [(ENDOSCOPIC VARICEAL LIGATION)(EVL)]. এখন শিশুটি সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ এবং আর রক্ত বমি হয়নি

সোনোগ্রাফি করে দেখা গেছে প্রসারিত শিরাগুলির কারণ হলো EHPVO( Extra Hepatic Portal Vein Obstruction) যা স্প্লেনোমেগালি (Splenomegaly)এবং পোর্টাল হাইপারটেনশনের কারণ (Portal Hypertension)
