A 28 years old civil engineer underwent endoscopic sinus surgery outside state in Silchar 5 years back. Now he came complaining of nose block and loss of smell. On doing nasal endoscopy it was found that he had several adhesions between the walls of his nasal cavities obstructing the clear passage of air in both nasal cavities.
Outside the state and even here the patient is discharged on the second day after surgery. However lack of meticulous cleaning and dressing of the nasal cavities , after the surgery, for at least seven to ten days and not putting a splint separating the walls of nasal cavities give rise to such adhesions.
So next time you go out side state for such surgeries you must make a plan of staying there for regular crust cleaning of the nose for at least a week to ten days if you don't want a second surgery.

Severe depressed communited Fracture Nasal bone because of a blunt injury was corrected recently in GB Hospital.
Fractures of nose has to be corrected within seven to ten days otherwise the bones unite in deformed condition and later it becomes difficult to correct.

Extensive cholesteatoma in the ear, of a 17-year-old boy was cleared by doing modified radical mastoidectomy with partial cavity obliteration with vascularized temporalis muscle flap along with type three tympanoplasty in AGMC & GBP Hospital.
Cholesteatoma disease in the chronic discharging ears is very dangerous and can be life threatening.
সময় থাকতে কানের এই মরনব্যাধি র চিকিৎসা খুবই আবশ্যক তা না হলে জীবন সংশয় ও হইতে পারে । জাদের কান থেকে দীর্ঘ কাল যাবত পুঁজ ও দুর্গন্ধ বেরচ্ছে তাদের অতি সত্তর কানের চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শ নেয়া উচিত । আমাদের জিবি হাস্পাতালের অত্যাধুনিক মাইক্রোস্কোপ দিয়ে এই জটিল অপারেশন করা হয়েছে ।

Happy Doctor's Day.
A 28-year-old man was suffering from hoarseness for the last 10 years. Finally, he came to us and right vocal cord polyp was diagnosed.
A very small tumour but causing a lot of stress in job and social life.
we removed it in AGMC with the help of videolaryngoscope and a 4k Storz camera. A very short and simple procedure but giving a lot of relief to the patient. The junior residents were also happy to get a first-hand knowledge about the surgery.
