Attending a reputed Allergy Immunology Workshop in Bengaluru and our group won the first prize for the quiz.
Excessive sneezing , itching and asthma and wheezing are possibly curable by immunotherapy only. Allergy otherwise can only be controlled with medicines but not cured.

Endoscopic tympanolplasty being done in AGMC for chronic ear infection and eardrum perforation and hearing impairment . The surgery is done to clear infection and restore hearing. Our inquisitive resident looks on.

In the earlier years when we used to fly Indian Airlines the lone airlines in India used to give a lot of lozenges. This made not only the experience of flying sweet but also painless for our ears.
Below is the the picture of the right ear drum of a lady who had sudden ear blockage and ear ache while flying in aeroplanre. Immediately after landing in Agartala she rushed to me complaining of ear ache.
As you can see her ear drum is retracted inwards and is getting inflamed and angry. This happens because of sudden air pressure changes during flight take off and landing. Here comes handy your simple humble lozenzes. If you enjoy the lozenzes and keep swallowing repeatedly the air pressure equalises in your ear through a tube called esutachean tube connecting your ear and the throat. You can take sips of water too or pinch your nose and blow air into your ears to keep the eustachean tube open for equalising the air pressure.
It's better to avoid flying with cough and cold too.
