Shakti Multispeciality Hospital organized a Community Health Program on 23rd of November in association with MV Defence Academy at Etmadpur.

As a part of the same, Dr.Smita Raghav, Dr.Madhur Chauhan & Dr.Hemant Bansal conducted Free General Health Checkup and the beneficiaries were provided with free medicines,female hygiene products and ORS as per their need.

Q. How do I know if I have fibroids?

A. Many women will develop fibroid-related symptoms such as
(1) bleeding (heavy me**es / irregular uterine bleeding / anemia);
(2) bulk (pelvic pressure or pain / urinary frequency / painful in*******se / abdominal distension);
(3) infertility (inability to conceive / miscarriage / pregnancy complications).
**Many women with fibroids, however, may be asymptomatic and will be diagnosed through either
(1) physician palpation of an enlarged or irregularly shaped uterus during a pelvic exam; or
(2) unexpected findings in an imaging study (ultrasound, CT or MRI).

Q. What is treatment of Fibroids?

A. Depends on age of patient,symptoms & type of fibroids
(1) Medical Management
(2) Myomectomy
(3) Hysterectomy
