Music has a way of easing the atmosphere, even in clinical spaces.

Today, the daycare department hosted Musical Hours for patients and their families, with an instrumental performance by Gaurav Pathak and the Udgit team. The session created a brief pause from routines, allowing people to sit, listen, and unwind together.

The initiative was organised by Paras Solanki and the ZyCare team, as part of ongoing efforts to make care environments more comforting and human.

Early identification of symptoms can shape the entire trajectory of a patient’s treatment. It allows doctors to act quickly and choose the most effective treatment options. For individuals with a family history of major illnesses, understanding inherited risks can help detect potential problems sooner, and choose right screening strategies.

Precision medicine brings these elements together.
In this video, Dr. Rohit Rebello, Medical Oncologist at Zydus Cancer Hospital, explains the concept of precision medicine, and how early detection and tools like Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) are playing a massive role in patient care.

Lung cancer in India is rising faster than ever.
ICMR data shows it is now the #1 cancer in men and the #5 cancer in women.

In this video, Dr. Avadh Vithlani (Thoracic Oncologist) explains why lung cancer is no longer just a “smoker’s disease.”

Genetics, family history, air pollution and environmental exposure are becoming equally significant drivers, especially in non-smokers.

When risks are changing, awareness must too.
Know the causes. Recognise the signs.

And if you fall in a higher-risk group, get screened early.
Early detection doesn’t just save lungs - it saves lives.

Episode 20 of “छुपाना बंद, बताना शुरू” is now live.

This week, Dr. Supreet Bhatt (Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon) joins RJ Devaki to talk about a truth most of us overlook - oral cancer doesn’t always start with to***co.
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as a sharp tooth, an ill-fitting denture, or years of untreated irritation.

Because these cancers often start painlessly, people delay visiting a doctor and by the time symptoms appear, the disease has already advanced.
That delay can cost lives.

Dr. Bhatt shares how modern surgical techniques, reconstruction, and rehabilitation have transformed outcomes:
A school principal who lost most of his tongue but rebuilt his voice and returned to his students.
A stage 4 farmer who went from “nothing can be done” to living cancer-free thanks to advanced treatment and determination.

Science saved their bodies. Awareness saved their lives.

This conversation is a reminder that early diagnosis doesn’t just improve survival, it protects identity, dignity, and hope.

Some cancers don’t start with pain. They start with silence.

In this week’s episode, Dr Supreet Bhatt (Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon) breaks some of the biggest myths around oral cancer, including why even non-to***co users can be at risk, how sharp teeth, dentures and constant irritation can trigger cancer, and why most patients arrive late because the earliest symptoms feel like nothing at all.

A conversation about awareness, early action and why what you don’t feel can still hurt you.

Lung cancer doesn’t only affect people who smoke.
Second-hand smoke, rising air pollution, and other outdoor exposure to harmful particles, and even genetic factors can put non-smokers at serious risk.

The challenge is that symptoms often appear late, which makes early screening even more important.

If you’ve been coughing for weeks, feeling breathless without a clear reason, or noticing unexplained fatigue, don’t ignore it.

Awareness is the first step. Action is the next.

Episode 19 of छुपाना बंद, बताना शुरू is now streaming

This week, Dr. Akanksha Garg (Hematologist, Oncologist & BMT Surgeon) joins RJ Devaki to break down the science, strength, and sensitivity behind treating blood cancers and performing bone marrow transplants.

She explains how hematology involves long-term, personalised care, often guiding patients and their families through months or even years of treatment. From managing complications to ensuring timely follow-ups, every stage demands precision and empathy in equal measure.

Dr. Akanksha also shares remarkable stories from her practice - including the journey of a two-year-old who fought through a critical condition and recovered completely after a successful stem cell transplant.

She also talks about how cancer care in India has progressed with advanced bone marrow transplant techniques, accessible chemo-free therapies, and a growing number of specialised centres that make recovery more possible than ever before.

An insightful conversation that shows how commitment, compassion, and continuous innovation are transforming outcomes in cancer care.
