Many women are regularly taking iron tablets…
but their Hb still doesn’t improve.
The reason is not always the dose
it’s often how you take it.
✅ The RIGHT way to take iron:
• Take it with plain water or lemon water
• Pair it with Vitamin C (amla, orange, guava)
Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron better.
❌ What reduces iron absorption:
• Tea / coffee (even within 1–2 hours)
• Milk / calcium supplements
• Antacids
⏳ Best rule:
Keep a 2-hour gap between iron and calcium/tea/coffee/antacids.

Emergency contraception, explained clearly and responsibly.

An i-pill is meant for emergencies, not everyday use. When taken correctly and on time, it can help reduce the chance of pregnancy but it does not terminate an existing one and does not protect against STIs.

Knowledge empowers better choices. For personalised guidance and safe contraceptive planning, consult your gynaecologist.

Travelling during pregnancy? ✈️🤰

Yes, you can travel. If your pregnancy is low-risk and you take the right precautions.
The safest time to travel is typically during the second trimester, when nausea subsides and energy levels improve.

A few things to keep in mind:
✔️ Always consult your gynaecologist before planning a trip
✔️ Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks
✔️ Avoid long, uncomfortable journeys without movement
✔️ Carry medical records and essential medicines

Every pregnancy is different. What’s safe for one may not be for another.
Listen to your body and travel smart.

Struggling with morning sickness? 🤢

Despite the name, morning sickness doesn’t happen only in the morning.
Nausea and vomiting can occur at any time of the day, especially during early pregnancy, due to hormonal changes.

The good news?
It’s common, usually harmless, and manageable with small lifestyle adjustments.

✔️ Eat small, frequent meals
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Try ginger or lemon
✔️ Rest when your body asks
✔️ Simple remedies like ginger tea or deep breathing can help

If nausea becomes severe or persistent, don’t ignore it. Speak to your gynaecologist for safe guidance.

🤍 Every pregnancy is different. Listen to your body.

Yes, many women with PCOS can get pregnant naturally.
PCOS does not mean infertility.

But it’s important to understand one thing
PCOS mainly affects ovulation.
When ovulation is irregular, pregnancy can take longer.

What helps 👇
• Maintaining a healthy weight
• Regular physical activity
• Balanced meals with less sugar & refined carbs
• Managing stress and sleep
• Tracking ovulation
• Medical guidance when needed

Many women with PCOS start ovulating regularly once their lifestyle and hormones are balanced.
Some conceive without any treatment, while others may need minimal support.

Everybody is different.
The key is early guidance and patience, not fear.

If you have PCOS and are planning a pregnancy,
Don’t delay getting the right advice.

One of the most common sentences I hear in my clinic is:
“Doctor, nobody warned me about this.”

Pregnancy is often shown as glowing skin, happy photos, and baby kicks.

But what isn’t talked about enough are the quiet, confusing changes that make women anxious.

I see women panic over:
• Sudden body pains
• Breathlessness while walking
• Mood swings that feel overwhelming
• Crying for no clear reason
• Skin changes
• Feeling tired all the time
• Not feeling “happy enough”
And almost always, they ask me.

“Is something wrong with me?”
Most of the time, the answer is no.

Your body is adjusting.
Your hormones are shifting.
Your system is doing something extraordinary.

What hurts women the most isn’t the symptom
it’s not knowing whether it’s normal.

As a gynecologist, my job isn’t just to monitor reports and scans.

It’s also to reassure, explain, and remind women that they’re not failing at pregnancy.

If something feels new, uncomfortable, or scary
ask.

Don’t Google in silence.
Don’t compare yourself to others.

Pregnancy needs information,
patience, and kindness
especially towards yourself.

Yes, you can have coffee during pregnancy
but in moderation ☕🤍
It’s all about balance, not restriction.

1 small cup a day is generally safe. Just stay hydrated and listen to your body 🌿

Yes, with comfort, care, and your doctor’s advice.

Pregnancy doesn’t mean grounding your dreams.
It just means planning with awareness
hydration, short walks, stretch breaks,
and choosing journeys where you feel supported and safe. 🤍

Most moms-to-be ask, “Aise kaise travel safe hoga?”
Waise jese proper prep + calm planning. 😌

Is cleaning your va**na after every p*e really necessary?

Short answer: No, but keeping the area dry and wiping front to back is the healthy way.
