Happy to share with you one challenging interesting angioplasty case summary .
In which we once again followed "Our moto " - " safety of patient with world best result by use of latest world class technology and hardwares " .
I think in my years of careers this was one of most challenging case where our motto was put to best use
44 yr YOUNG male , who has Type 2 diabetes, came to me with severe chest pain , with heart attack. On angiography i found , critical blockages In all 3 heart vessels . His coronary arteries had blockage in which along with cholesterol fat high calcium deposition was also there due to effect of diabetes. LMCA and LAD , main 2 arteries on left side, had through and through extenstive calcium .. other vessel LCX critical blockages inside previously implanted stent .. naturally bypass operation is option given to him, but our Patient was not willing for bypass surgery and due to deep trust on us said, " saheb aap angioplasty thi best result aapo "
So we went ahead n did our best planning and ex*****on to prove right the trust put on us by young patient. Our team did complex Left main coronary artery angioplasty with LMCA LAD LCX bifurcation and with angioplasty of LAD and LCx vessels. The latest technologies used were
1) ROTATIONAL ABLATION ATHERECTOMY from LMCA TO LAD - removes calcium chunks from artery lumen
2) CUTTING BALLOON ATHERECTORMY
3) IVL- INTRAVASCULAR LITHOTRIPSY -creates cracks in calcium inside vessels wall blockages [ THE LATEST N COSTLY but very strategically HELPFUL TECHNIQUE]
and
4) CORONARY IMAGING-- IVUS - INTRAVASCULAR ULTRASOUND - To see blockage of heart vessels from inside so helps In stent size delivery and decision to use which device - hardware in which location, and also see how stent is perfectly deployed or not ! Etc etc
Successful angioplasty was completed with latest guideline directed technique
Due to god's grace n help of meticulous planning of my cardiology team , complex procedure went without any complication and patient was discharged within 2 days . We salute trust of patient and patient relatives in me and my team.
This case was great endorsement of our expertise in handling such complex coronary cases . I also thanks our mentors and teachers for competent training to us to deal with such difficult cases.
Sincere regards ..
