With its efforts to strengthen "समृद्ध ग्राम" project and further expand outreach to tribal youth, Saksham Foundation launched second Saksham Kendra at Moti-Tokri village in Kavant taluka, Chhota Udaipur district of Gujarat on 24 December 2022.
The launch program was graced by academicians from Shri Govind Guru University Godhra and Bhavnagar University along with school principal and teachers of Moti Tokri village. Extensive support and participation of around 500 villagers and school students made this launch a success.
Saksham Kendra is envisaged as a learning resource center for students, farmers and academicians for continued learning and career counseling. Most crucially, Saksham Kendra will also serve as a resource center for students preparing for higher education and competitive exams.
At present, Saksham Kendra is equipped with 450 books (mostly for competitive exams and references books for farmers), a career-counseling unit, one computer center, high speed wifi and one television to organize online trainings and information dissemination.
We sincerely believe that this continued effort of Saksham Foundation will encourage villagers and instil a sense of aplomb among students to learn, grow and succeed.
