Our study, “Psychometric Properties of Expanded Adverse Childhood Experiences Assessment Questionnaire at a Wellness Centre in India,” has been published in the Asian Journal of Psychiatry (Q1).

Gunjan Y Trivedi, Ph.D. led the study along with co-authors Pranjal Surana Neha Pandya Nisarg Patel Dr Kathirvel Soundappan Dr Anita Kumar Riri G Trivedi (available on journal page link in bio)

This is India’s first known study to provide a comprehensive psychometric property-based assessment of childhood trauma. Building on the global template, it includes culturally specific “childhood trauma” categories relevant to India.

In part 1 of the video series, Dr Gunjan discusses The Pareto principle, which states that 80% of effects come from 20% of causes. This can be applied to mental health, particularly in su***de behaviour.

Dr Gunjan identified risk factors as emotional neglect, abuse, violent family environment, self-harm, and childhood trauma.

Addressing these risk factors is crucial in managing and preventing su***de behaviour.
