As per recent regulations to contain spread of COVID 19, government has notified to sanitize incoming goods, floor, work area with suitable disinfectant or sanitizer. Mostly it is done by dilution of sodium hypochlorite.

2 solutions are adaptation of agriculture sprayers and other domestic spraying solutions like used in gardening and horticulture. None of them are suitable for harshness of chlorine or bleach solutions. Bleach / chlorine requires special corrosion resistant construction for trouble free long life and that is not available in adaptation. Hence customer not only spends lots of money, at times due to failure of apparatus organization risk like of people and may have to face legal consequences of non compliance in absence of replacement sprayers.

Vortex tube based cooling vests

Summer lhas set in. As soon as lock down is released much needed economical and industrial activities will start. During summer workmen operating in high heat area like foundries, welding shop, cement plants, project work, refineries, steel plant, metal smelting plants, refineries, boiler plants are subjected to health damaging ambient temperature.

Mist spray nozzles are used to build sanitizing tunnel or walk through sanitizers. General imsubs ™ offers two types of misting nozzles.

1. Mist spray nozzles with ceramic tip and cleanable filter. These type of nozzles are bit expensive but has very long life. Performance of nozzles does not get easily affected due to impurities in water. In case of filter chocking, it can be immediately put back to operation by cleaning filter. Good quality prefilter reduces instance of internal filter clogging.

2. Mist spray nozzles entirely made out of brass. These nozzles are economically priced and require good quality prefilter.

Depending on type of sanitizing tunnel needed 4 to 8 nozzles could be used per tunnel.

Higher the pressure lower consumption of sanitizing liquid and finer misting will be.

What is vortex tube?
Vortex tube is compressed air operated device based on Ranque-Hilsch principle, invented by French physicist Georges J. Ranque in 1931. It is a mechanical device which splits compressed air into two parts, one is cold air stream and another is hot air stream. Both are non pressurized air and can be used to achieve desired effect of heating and cooling.

Where Vortex tubes are used?
1. Vortex tubes are mainly used where ever spot cooling is required like cutting tool cooling, ultrasonic welding horn cooling

2. Places where conventional refrigeration systems are not viable like electrical cabinet and panel board cooling.

3. Personal / human body cooling where ambient temperature is very high like foundries, forging shops, confined area welding, oil rigs, onsite work areas.

4. Laboratory instant cooling.

There are manufacturers who my offer cheap vortex tubes made from low cost materials like Aluminum, however our experience shows that Aluminum vortex tubes and devices made using such vortex tubes do not last as long and our standard stainless steel vortex tubes.

Vortex tube works on principle of Ranque-Hilsch, it is an interesting device, which uses compressed air as prime mover and vortex tube is designed in such a way that air entering into it is forced to rotate at very high speed, about 1 million revolution per minute. Air is split in to two streams and come out of two ends of tube, one end is cold and another is hot.
Temperature drop on cold end could be as high as −50 °C (−58 °F).
