Today, I received the kind of surprise that truly stays with you.

One of my patients walked in — not for a check-up, but simply to say:
"Happy Friendship Day, doctor! Thank you for being there for me."

In this profession, we aim to heal and help — but sometimes, the bonds we form go far beyond that. And honestly, who wouldn't want such loving, warm-hearted, clear-souled, and innocent people as friends?

It’s easy to get caught up in the routine, but moments like these remind me exactly why I chose this path. When care, trust, and kindness come full circle, it creates something truly special.

Moments like these remind us: friendship can blossom in the most unexpected places.

✨ A Brave Little Warrior – Then & Now ✨

Meet Rudra – a true fighter whose journey began with immense courage.

At just 1 month old, he was brought to us from Chittorgarh, Rajasthan for a large tumor in the liver.
Rudra underwent a major surgery for the large liver tumor. It was a tough road, but he recovered beautifully, showing us all what resilience looks like.

Today, at 8 years old, Rudra walked into the hospital not for treatment – but for a routine check-up and a heartwarming trip down memory lane.

He wanted to see his old baby photos and stood where he once lay as a tiny patient. He also insisted to click a photo to remember how far he’s come.

From a fragile newborn in the NICU to a confident, smiling young boy – Rudra’s story is a powerful reminder of hope, healing, and the strength within every child.

‘3 મહિના નો બાળક અને 23 વરસ નો યુવાન – એક અવિશ્વસનિય રૂપાંતર!’

મળો VKને, એક 23 વર્ષીય યુવાન જેણે અસાધ્ય સંજોગો પર જીત મેળવી !
જન્મથી જ તેમના જાંઘ પર એક મોટું અને વિસ્તૃત હેમેન્જિયોમા (રક્તનાળીઓ ની ગાંઠ / લાખું) હતું.
આના કારણે VKએ બાળપણથી જ મુશ્કેલીઓનો સામનો કર્યો હતો, જેમાં વારે ઘડી એ નાની અમથી ઇજા ના કારણે રાખતાસ્ત્રાવ થવો અને થ્રોમ્બોસાઈટોપેનિયા (પ્લેટલેટની ઓછા થઇ જવા ની સમસ્યા) પણ સામેલ હતી.

જ્યારે VK માત્ર 3 મહિના નો હતો, ત્યારે તેને અમરદીપ ચિલ્ડ્રન હોસ્પિટલમાં લાવવામાં આવ્યો હતો અને ત્યાં તેની યોગ્ય સારવાર કરવામાં આવી હતી.

આજે , VK ખાસ સુરતથી અમારી મુલાકાત લેવા આવ્યો અને તેની અનન્ય સફર વિશેની યાદગીરીઓ વાગોળી.

એક નાનકડા 3 મહિના ના બાળકમાંથી લઈને એક દ્રઢ અને આત્મવિશ્વાસ ભરેલા યુવાન સુધીનો તેની સફરનો માર્ગ અત્યંત પ્રેરણાદાયક છે!

VKની આ સફરનો ભાગ બનવાની અમને ખૂબજ ખુશી છે અને તેમની આભારસ્વરૂપ મુલાકાત માટે અમને આનંદ છે. તેની 23 વર્ષ ની આ સફર શ્રદ્ધા, નિશ્ચય અને ચિકિત્સા શક્તિની એક જીવંત સાબિતી છે.

‘3 months old and today - a remarkable transformation!’

Meet VK, a 23-year old man who defied the odds!

Born with a large extensive hemangioma on his thigh, VK faced challenges from a young age from bleeding following a slight trauma or scratch to thrombocytopenia (low platelet count).

He was brought to Amardeep Children Hospital at the age of 3 months and he received the treatment he needed for the same.

Fast forward to today, VK visited us to pay his respects specially from Surat and shared his incredible journey. From being a tiny 3-month-old baby to a strong, confident young man, his transformation is truly inspiring!

We're honored to have been a part of VK's journey and grateful for his kind gesture. His story is a testament to the power of faith, determination and medical care.

We wish to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible strength, determination, and love of the parents of their 4-month-old child who travelled all the way from Nairobi, Kenya, to Ahmedabad, India, for surgery at Amardeep Hospital.
