Today department of pain and Palliative Medicine at J L N hospital observed ‘World Hospice and Palliative Care Day 2025’.
Theme of this year was:- Achieving the promise: universal access to palliative care.
Dignitaries (including Dr Anil Samaria sir, Principal& Controller as chief guest) released poster based on this year’s theme.
I elaborated about promise and universal access of palliative care .
Senior doctors, resident doctors, nursing officers, pharmacists, students, patients and their relatives participated.

I am happy to share that I have been awarded the certificate of training in palliative care after 1.5 year long rigorous training jointly organised by Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative care Network, Singapore and AIIMS, New Delhi.

Palliative care aims to enhance quality of life, honoring dignity, and supporting emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being during life’s most vulnerable moments by compassionate, holistic support to patients and their families.

Through this training, I aim to improve the way we care for patients facing serious illness—ensuring their voices are heard, their comfort prioritized, and their journeys respected.

Grateful to Dr Sushma Bhatnagar mam (ex HOD, palliative medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi) for this opportunity.
