HPLC is a sophisticated method used to separate, identify, and quantify components in complex samples such as spices and herbal extracts. The process involves passing a sample through a column under high pressure, where components are separated based on their interactions between a mobile phase and a stationary phase. These results are detected as individual peaks and compared against rigorous standards for analysis.
