Sacroiliac luxation in dogs is corrected through surgical intervention, which typically involves manually realigning the pelvis and sacrum and then using screws, pins, or a combination to stabilize the joint. This can be performed using minimally invasive techniques with fluoroscopy or traditional open surgery, with the goal of restoring stability for limb function. Prognosis is generally favorable with surgery, although full recovery can take around two months.
