Dear Papa in Heaven

I want to ask, how are you? I miss you so much….Words can never justify this….It’s been 12 years since I heard your voice, seen your smile, hug you, kiss you on the cheek, and hold your hand.

I miss all of those things and time spent with you….I can’t believe it’s been so long. My heart still aches for your presence.

As today marks the death anniversary of my father, I often share how I carried his philanthropic gene and worked on his footsteps….Back in my paternal house At Gate Bhagtawala, the persons remembered how my father would help everyone in the area, sponsor education of the needy and bring goodies for the children…

He would never think twice about spending on others, It is the exact same protocol that I try to follow in my daily life and always think that he might be smiling on this…My palliative care work is all dedicated to u papa..

A father holds a special place in the hearts of his children that can never be matched.

For those who have lost their dad, it can be especially tough to acknowledge his absence and the grief it causes during the happy and sad times…For me my Dad is the ultimate role model, a superhero. He was always the best with words, his endless generosity and ability to show up for me no matter the occasion, was sure to make me feel loved and special…And I bet he had the best jokes, a pun for every occasion and always filled every room with his laughter.

I always felt that Coping up with the loss of a father is seemed to be a never ending cycle of ups and downs. There may be days where the tears are continuous and others where I can smile after thinking about the legacy, happy moments and love u left behind.

Though the time passes, the memories will still remain❤️❤️

Still trying to walk on your footsteps….Always wish if u could meet Param and Aadh…

Missing You Dearest Dad on Your Birthday
It has been more than 7 years since I last saw you, spoke to you, touched your hand, hugged you or just sat with you but I always feel your presence...I miss you ! Really really miss you. I miss the sound of your voice, the footsteps with those shiny black shoes, how u call me honey. I miss your voice!! I really wish we could talk right now to share all the crazy things Aadh do. I miss those words of wisdom of yours....I miss your sense of humour Nd sounds of your laughter.....Not a day goes by when I don’t imagine what life would be like if u were here... Every situation that Every situation that I find myself in ( be it a family function, when Aadh was born, my convocation, my fellowship completion) I imagine a scenario where you’re present and sharing those happy moments. You’ve left people with a lot of good memories of you. They always mention how you made them laugh, always listened, how you always helped whoever you could with whatever you could. It gives me a feeling of warmth inside to hear these things about you and inspires me to be kind of son you’d be proud of. Thank you papa... Thank you for your love. Thank you for your beautiful memories. Thank you for being a good, hard working human being who encourages me to be the best person I can be and to the best I can in everything I wish to achieve.

Remembering My Father (Dr Mohinder Singh) on his Death Anniversary

It has been more than 7 years since I last saw you, spoke to you, touched your hand, hugged you or just sat on you presence. I miss you! I really, really miss you.
I miss your voice! I really wish we could talk right now. I miss ...your words of wisdom, I miss your sense of humor, I think you would like my sense of humor too, though I tend to be crazier than you were. I miss your sound of your laughter.
Every time, I have to admit (and this may sound silly and pretty), but I am a little envious of all the people who get to spoil their dads with all happiness in the world. But the reality is stone cold, you're not here anymore and I don't get to do anything for you. Not on any days of the year.
Not a day goes by when I don’t imagine what life would be like had you not died. Every situation that I find myself in (be it a family function, my post graduation convocation, mom retirement, birth of your grandson Aadhbir singh) I imagine a scenario where you’re present and sharing in the happy moments.
You’ve left people with a lot of good memories of you. They always mention how you made them laugh, always listened, how you always helped whoever you could with whatever you could. It gives me a feeling of warmth inside to hear these things about you and inspires me to be the kind of son you’d be proud of.
Thank you, dearest Dad. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for being a hard working doctor as well as good human being who encouraged me to be the best person I can be and to do the best I can in everything I wish to achieve. So thank you for that......lots of love

The death of a parent is a very difficult event for all to overcome. Knowing that the man who in addition to being your dad was your friend and gave his constant support will never be by your side again is something hard to accept.
The pain and longing for his death are much stronger in celebrations such as Lohri and the New Year, however the day of his birthday is when his absence hurts more. The fact that he is no longer with us to celebrate together, does not mean that we should ignore that day. Keep in mind that his soul never dies and is now watching you from heaven.
You can not give him a hug and greet him personally; however you can dedicate some unique words for his birthday. He from up there will be very happy to know that you remember and that you always have him present.
Sharing few quotes with you all remembering my dear father:

In this day we are celebrating your birthday and I miss you Dad. Despite knowing you’re resting in heaven is inevitable imagine what would it be if you were with us. I will never forget all the efforts and sacrifices you made to get us where we are now. I will always love you Dad.

I would love to see you even for a moment to give you a big hug and tell you personally how much I love you. Beloved dad, you will always in my mind, heart and soul.

In this day you would fulfill one more year of life so when we look to the sky wanted to offer you a few words. Dad you always were an exemplary man, every day you have instructed us to be good people and all other valuable lessons that you gave us cherish forever in our hearts. We will do everything to make you proud of us. Wherever you are I want you to spend a cute birthday along with my grandparents. We love you a lot “
