Dr. Avtar Singh is a Renowned Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon.
He was born in a small village of Sultanpur Lodhi. From childhood, he faced many sacrifices for money as he belonged to a small class family.
His both parents were school teachers and at that time, medical was considered a noble profession. So, they asked their son Avtar Singh to be a doctor. He started his medical journey on wish of his parents.
He got a job offer from a government hospital. A secure job, simple work and confined thoughts weren’t able to satisfy his thirst of service. In order to fetch the seekers to quench his thirst of service, after 13 years, he left the job.
Dr. Avtar Singh and his wife started an OPD. They didn’t care the number of patients; some days, they were 2-5, some days they were more. What they cared about was service and its quality. Within a year, they started a 3 bed hospital on a rented accommodation. Soon that 3 bed hospital turned to a good 20 bed hospital.
He bought a new machine for close treatment of fractures. This machine brought a great revolution in fracture treatment.
He took the assistance of the expertise of Dr. Ravi Mahajan in solving cases of Complex Trauma in year 2001. They started with organ regeneration in same year. With commencement of navigation technology in 2006, he gave an oceanic relief to his patients.
The robotic surgery was the biggest modification in medical science. Dr. Avtar Singh is the first doctor to pioneer its medical implementation in knee replacement. He is the only Punjabi surgeon to perform Robotic Knee Surgery.

Not only in medical science, Dr. Avtar Singh reflects his keen pursuits for academics and philanthropies. He has a hockey and cricket academy, educational institutes and a Yateem Khana (orphanage).
