Overgrown teeth in rabbits, also known as dental disease or malocclusion, are a common problem that can significantly impact a rabbit’s health and well-being. This occurs when a rabbit’s teeth grow excessively long, often due to a poor diet, genetic factors, or trauma. A diet lacking in fiber, particularly hay, can lead to teeth not wearing down properly, causing them to grow out of control. Malocclusion, or misalignment of the teeth, can also result in overgrown teeth, making it difficult for the rabbit to eat and chew.

Treatment-
Dietary changes: Ensuring a rabbit has a diet rich in hay is crucial for preventing and managing overgrown teeth.
Veterinary care: Overgrown teeth may need to be trimmed by a veterinarian, potentially with sedation.
