🙏 On this sacred Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji (24 November), we bow in eternal gratitude to Hind-di-Chadar – the Shield of India.

The Ninth Sikh Guru sacrificed his life in Delhi in 1675 to protect the right of every human being to practise their faith freely. When the Mughal emperor demanded that Kashmiri Pandits convert or face death, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji stood firmly and said:

“ਹਿੰਦੂ ਧਰਮ ਕੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੀਸ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਸਸਤਾ ਹੈ।”
(“To protect the Hindu faith, even giving my head is a small price.”)

He, along with Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji, embraced unimaginable torture and martyrdom, but never bowed before tyranny. Their supreme sacrifice taught the world the meaning of courage, dignity, and standing up for the oppressed – no matter what faith they follow.

Today, let us remember their message of Sarbat da Bhala (welfare of all humanity) and renew our pledge to uphold freedom, equality, and love for every soul.
