relativelyLocal Bridging Local and Global. Bridging East and West. Bridging Spiritual and Worldly Life. Bridging Sim Bridging Rural and Urban.

I envision a future world:
where our passports merely claim Earth as our residence, human as our nationality and race; a world without religious, racial, gender or cultural separation; a world without political borders; a world where compassion towards and service to each other as brothers and sisters replace competitive hierarchies that have long since produced the current state of imbalance among us; where our access to connectivity positively evolves the relativity between us. The Mission is Simple…
To blur the lines between local and global, by inspiring an evolution in consciousness, through multicultural exchange within spiritual, educational and creative endeavours, in the pursuit of transcending both geographical and cultural boundaries beyond merely seeing differences and towards acknowledging commonalities and oneness among ourselves, so we can stop considering others as competitors and start becoming collaborators in the world we share. GRASSROOTS CONNECTIVITY AND COLLABORATIONS:
Bridging Local and Global. Bridging Simple Living with Modern Tech. Offering Guidance and Consulting (assessment of needs - set up of new / improved systems - empowerment to manage on one’s own) on projects that may fall under either or all three interwoven themes:
* Culture Preservation & Mindful Cultural Exchange
* Holistic Curriculum Development
* Mindful Media Literacy & Production

To be able to show up fully as oneself is a privilege (hosted by ) provided us. What a we had, disrupting dominant culture, just being who we are!
I have been a part of so many retreats where we process old traumas, be completely vulnerable, share personal stories we previously kept secret, heal old wounds... And in all of those retreats, I have left thinking "this would have been so much better if I wasn't the only (or one of few) qu**rs in the room". Well here it is, the retreat I've always wanted / needed.
What an honor to be one of the presenters, with plenty of space to participate in other facilitators' workshops as well. What an amazing group, gathered from so many corners of India, spanning the entire gender spectrum and multiple generations.
Truly one of my best times in India thus far.

Letting go of things has been a practice of mine the last 14 years.
These prints are 20 year old. Two of my favourite images I've ever shot in Ujjain, . 35mm film, scanned and retouched negatives (because usually the film I'd get developed in small town India would come back with lots of scratches), digitally printed on watercolor paper, and mounted on foam core.
Left- Shri Mahant Mera Puri, during a . Someone who has become an important elder iny life ever since.
Right- walking down the to take their dip in the river.
Both images shot within minutes of each other.
They used to hang from the ceiling in my Brooklyn loft for years. I thought they had been long since abandoned. Yet my friend kept them in her storage unit.
So I have emotionally let go of these twice.
I'm on the plane heading back to India, feels like a next chapter is turning. Completing 24 years since my first kumbh mela in in 2000-2001.
I'll be back in taking my in the soon.
Reach out if you'll be there.
