What is ayurvedhaa ?
Much before allopathy and homeopathy, an ancient science called Ayurveda arose. Ayurveda is the science of healing with herbs, fruits and minerals from nature’s bounty. It is one of the oldest scientific medical systems in the world, with a long record of clinical experience of famous Ayurvedic sages like Dhanvantri, Sushruta and Charaka further carried on by Vaids. The word “Ayu” means all aspects of life from birth to death. The word “Veda” means knowledge or learning. Hence Ayurveda indicates the science by which life in its totality is understood. ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಎಂದರೇನು?
ಅಲೋಪತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋಮಿಯೋಪತಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಮೊದಲು, ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಆಯುರ್ವೇದವು ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಗಿಡಮೂಲಿಕೆಗಳು, ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಖನಿಜಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗುಣಪಡಿಸುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಳೆಯ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ, ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಷಿಮುನಿಗಳಾದ ಧನ್ವಂತ್ರಿ, ಸುಶ್ರುತ ಮತ್ತು ಚರಕರ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಅನುಭವದ ಸುದೀರ್ಘ ದಾಖಲೆಯನ್ನು ವೈಡ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. “ಆಯು” ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಅರ್ಥ ಹುಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ಸಾವಿನವರೆಗಿನ ಜೀವನದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಶಗಳು. “ವೇದ” ಎಂಬ ಪದದ ಅರ್ಥ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಅಥವಾ ಕಲಿಕೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದವು ಅದರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
ಆಯುರ್ವೇದವು ಮೂಲತಃ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅದು ಮೂಲತಃ ಮೂರುದೋಷಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ - ವಾತ, ಪಿತ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಕಫ. ಈ ದೋಷ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವ ದೇಹದ 5 ಅಂಶಗಳ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ದೇಹದ ದೇಹರಚನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಈ ದೋಷಗಳ ಸಮತೋಲನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿರುವುದು ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ರೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿವಿಧ ತಂತ್ರಗಳು, ನಿಯಮಗಳು, ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಗಿಡಮೂಲಿಕೆಯ ಘಟಕಗಳು ದೇಹದ ದೇಶಗಳ ಸಮತೋಲನವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ದೇಹರಚನೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
