New Delhi Red Fort TERROR BLAST, anything New to witness? To think? To suffer? We've been enduring this for the last 3 Decades..yet failed to Eradicate this w**d. Despite having strong National Agencies like NIA, ATS, IB, RAW , NSG etc.etc..and Top International counter- terrorism Agencies like UN, INTERPOL, EU, NATO etc.etc..we could not put a full stop to Terrorism. And for the people who are immersed in such anti- social activities...i
I would just say that this is a result of a MALNOURISHED Mind . Education without wisdom is zero.
I don't think in this fast-forward era, any 17 or 18 year old can be lured, brain-washed or manipulated....few things are inherent, our basic nature comes from the family we are born in..that's a Universal Truth.

Vit. D as an inevitable supplement. Almost every individual today including children have had or are having Vit. D Supplement even in the country like ours, where sunshine is abundant except during rains and some hilly regions. Reason?? 90%of the time staying indoors. We all know that supplements are easily available and they do correct the deficiencies too, so why worry?
Well, in this video i am trying to educate my own people that a synthetic version of something can't replace the natural. The supplement may correct your deficiency but it cannot by any means regulate your circadian rhythm which works synergistically with nature. Sunlight helps you produce melatonin, a hormone that regulates our sleep, as it is light dependent. Only sunlight exposure can ensure proper balance between our cortisol & melatonin cycle. As the sun shines, cortisol ( the stress hormone) starts rising, it is supposed to be elevated just enough to perform your tasks while melatonin remains low, and as the day finishes and it starts getting dark, melatonin rises whereas cortisol drops. This balance is achieved only with alternate light & dark phenomenon. This is the reason for chronic stress today, cortisol isn't dropping, it remains elevated even at night. Hence, sleep disorders, anxiety, mood swings and related disorders.

Dear folks, we are a blessed nation. Let's start living holistically in sync with nature. Sunbathing for 15-20 mins is a must on daily basis. Practice for 3 days and you will see the change. Condition: 60% of the skin should be exposed , no sunscreens, best time : 11 am to 3 pm in winters, 9 am to 2 pm in summers.

Disclaimer: people with severe deficiencies ought to take vit D supplements after consulting their doctor, continue sunbathing. Mild to moderate deficiency can be corrected by sunlight within 4 to 6 months.

Radish, another underrated vegetable is no less than a blessing for our Liver. The bioactive compounds found in radish like sulphur compounds, anthocyanins in red radish, antifungal protein all help the Liver with detoxification, it regulates bile flow in the gall bladder thus preventing toxins build- up. High water content and fibre makes it super Gut food. Regular consumption of seasonal radish helps lower the Liver enzymes like ALT, ASP, BILIRUBIN thus reducing inflammation.

How to consume??
Choose sweet & tender radish preferably seasonal ( especially the ones available during winters) . Avoid consuming Mature and pungent varieties. Best to consume in Raw form as a salad, but one can even have it cooked.

Precaution to be taken by people who are suffering from Hyperacidity and stomach or mouth ulcers..the nature of Radish is hot so better consume it in winters. Frequency : twice or thrice a week, not daily.

Got a NEW DIET PLAN ??? Start slow. Even if your Diet plan is for a month or two..Watch it for 1 week. How it goes, what changes you observe in yourself, how your body is behaving differently, whether you're comfortable with the new Plan even though it is PERSONALISED, because every food behaves differently in different individuals.
Do not PUSH yourself when you are not comfortable . You can always ask your Dietician to Modify the given diet for you..Learn to read your own body signals.

Garlic is a well-known anti-inflammatory food. It is a versatile ingredient in many cuisines. It contains some bioactive compounds that helps fight inflammation. But to reap it's benefits for Therapeutic use, it has to be consumed without processing ( cooking), the best way being crushed coarsely and eaten along with meals. Here I am crushing 4-5 cloves of fresh garlic & 2 green chillies( for 2 people) for some taste. Would add a pinch of salt before having it. When garlic is crushed & left for few seconds,,it releases Allicin, a natural substance that renders Cardioprotective benefits. One must consume garlic this,way twice or thrice a week.

Ideal Body Weight is not a Defined number, no Single value, it is NOT the ONLY criteria to assess nutritional or health status, IBW for every individual is different, it depends on our body frames & musculature. Like Asians have different body frames as compared to their American counterparts. Also, IBW doesn't differentiate between Muscle Mass & Fat Mass. Hence, IBW is not an ideal tool to diagnose a health condition, however, it gives a general idea about the weight status of an individual with respect to height. It is true to some extent that you breathe heavily when you are overweight but 3-5 kg of extra weight never causes breathing troubles. As in my case here, after no proper diagnosis made by the doctor, i figured it out on my own. I had pulled a muscle near my diaphragm ( below chest cavity) 🙂 while exercising. And when paused all such activities that involved chest movement except breathing, some hot compresses, and on purpose deep breathing & holding breaths, i realised that pain was subsiding and my muscle started recovering. I listened to my own body. It hints you many times. So, that was not my extra weight that caused a problem. My pre- pregnancy weight was 52, and now I am 60 kg after two C- Sections , pretty normal for my age & height. 🫠

Know your BMI. Body Mass Index is an Anthropometric tool commonly used by dietitians and clinicians to assess the weight status and associated Nutritional & other health risks. The Asian - Indian BMI cut - offs are different from the International cut -offs simply because of different body frames & musculature. Do watch the full video to know whether your BMI falls in the Normal range or not. If it does, you are good to go, still you can't take your Diet & lifestyle for granted because there's so much more to it. If it falls outside the Normal range, then you need to work on it, gain knowledge, seek help, monitor your current lifestyle, get active & and stay happy !

Though the National Nutrition Month is over now, and I am posting this late but never mind..why should NUTRITION be thought of, talked about, or practiced just a month, let's all incorporate it in our daily life, in our Eating behaviour...
Although the video is self- explanatory, i would like to keep it short here, just include enough colors in your daily Diet as the rich coloured foods give you the Best antioxidants the natural way, you shouldn't need supplements.

Food Poisoning as a result of Food Contamination. This video is posted a bit late, the news is couple of days old.
Food contamination is obvious when demand of a particular commodity is high and the arrangements ( at store level) are not appropriate like food storage, food handling, unhygienic environment & practices. However, the demand for kuttu flour always increases twice a year during Navratri festival. The food department and the distribution network is expected to be proactively prepared for it. Robust Food Quality Checks need to be conducted for health Safety.
On individual basis, we can avoid Eating Kuttu ( Buckwheat) and can switch to other options like rajgira flour( amaranth), singhara ( water chestnut) flour, bottlegourd, potatoes, sabudana, barnyard Millet etc.
Let's not take health for granted. Happy Navratri 🙏

Best Indian Alternatives for Exotic Foods. Why do we even NEED to eat Brazil Nuts? MACADMIA NUTS? That too for the sake of deriving NUTRITION??? Aren't Indian locally available Nuts & seeds, fruits and vegetables potent enough to fulfill Nutrient deficiencies?

Even if your pocket allows, eating Preserved, Canned, Frozen, foodstuffs doesn't make any Sense !
