Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences, popularly known among student and teaching fraternity as “PIMS” had its start in the year 2000. PIMS is affiliated to Bangalore University and recognized by Government of Karnataka. University Grants Commission (UGC New Delhi) has recognized under sec. 2(f) and sec. 12(B) of UGC Act 1956. For more than a decade, PIMS has been imparting quality education to students. We have accelerated itself by introducing new courses and upgrading laboratory infrastructure to offer quality education. The students from different parts of the world are nurtured to face challenges both at national and global levels. At PIMS unique “Mentor-Mentee” concept ensures a constant interaction between the faculty and the students. The mission, vision and core values are demonstrated in action and reiterated time and again during staff meetings, student gatherings and mentor meetings. The objectives are clearly explained to the students during orientation program. Mentors constantly encourage students for academic and industry interactions, take up industry live projects, attend conferences, seminars, workshops, training program and publish papers in national and international journals. Many of our students have presented papers and posters in seminars and conferences, secured prizes and published papers in journals of scientific repute. Students graduating from PIMS are most sort after and are placed in an array of industries including Food, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Bio-products, Textiles, Healthcare, Nutrition, Environmental Conservation, Analytical Services, Biomedical, Bioinformatics, Agri-Biotech, Genetic Engineering and Academics.
