COVID MARTYRS’ DAY OBSERVED ON IMA CALL – HOMAGE PAID TO DEPARTED COVID WARRIORS
COVID Martyrs’ Day was solemnly observed following the call given by the Indian Medical Association Karnataka State Branch, and heartfelt homage was paid to doctors who lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Suriraju V., Honorary Secretary, IMA KSB, stated that doctors not only saved countless lives during the COVID crisis but also sacrificed their own lives while serving patients in the line of duty. He emphasized that the pandemic proved beyond doubt that doctors are always prepared to give their lives to save the lives of others.
More than 100 people were present at the event. public expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the services rendered by doctors and healthcare workers during the COVID pandemic. The staff of Regal Hospital actively participated in the programme.
A one-minute silence was observed in memory of the departed doctors as a mark of respect. Several speakers and patients emotionally expressed that although the doctors may no longer be physically present, they continue to live forever in the hearts, prayers, and gratitude of millions whose lives they touched.
