Hi All, I just want to take a moment to say how glad I am we all connected - and a huge thank you to @Lakshmipathy. When I was a little lost in Bengaluru trying to find an ICU bed for my mother-in-law and not knowing any doctors or which hospital to take her to, I checked with Lappy if he knew anyone at Baptist hospital. His wife Kavitha did her DNB there. So he said he would check. By the time I got her to the ER and the doctors were checking in on her, he was already at the hospital in 1/2 an hour. I was just blown away by his kindness and concern and dropping things to show up for me. As there were no beds in the ICU and we were still trying to figure out where to go, Kavitha recommended that we take her to their North Bangalore hospital. That was the best decision we made. The dedication and care of these two amazing people was so touching. Their whole family unit made us feel like everything would be alright. Since my MIL has dementia, she needed her caregiver to be around to feel safe. They made sure even the caregiver was comfortable. The love and care, along with the emotional support I received from them was beyond anything we would have received at any corporate hospital. Having gone through instances in Manipal where we were kept in the dark when my dad had his accident, this was such a breath of fresh air where we were kept updated on her care every step of the way. As a family member and a doctor, this respect for the family to know what is going on was so critical. Thank you so much, Lappy and Kavitha. Your whole extended family deserves a warm hug ❣
