Messages from the parents I work with are by far one of the strongest reasons that propel me to continue in this work!

And yet we can all benefit from a more regulated nervous system and efficient auditory processing.

Calmer, more balanced, focused and resilient!

As big tech vies for our attention, our ability to focus and pay attention are rapidly diminishing. Why not use technology to reclaim focus and learn what it means to inhabit your body and feel at home in it again.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response, Lisa growth and our freedom.” Viktor Frankl, Austrian neurologist, psychiatrist and N**i death camp survivor.

We can find meaning and tragedy and heartbreak. My work arose from a deep desire to rise above my own struggles to offer others a place and time to rediscover their footing.

Systemic listening therapy is a beautiful, non-invasive method that can bring the body back into balance through improved, auditory processing. It teaches the body what it means to rest and to move more easily between other states like calm, focus and problem-solving. Even if moved into ‘fight or flight’, it enables the body and mind to recover more efficiently and easily.

Whether it’s SLT or Compassionate Inquiry, it is my mission to enable each client so that they feel fully connected to themselves, internally resourced, and able to make their decisions based on their power of choice.

CI Testimonial: “Louise is a generous, compassionate, and deeply knowledgeable practitioner who uses CI-informed therapy (Compassionate Inquiry) and Systemic Listening Therapy (SLT) to support brain plasticity, auditory processing and emotional regulation (and if you don’t know what any of these things mean and how it can help you, Louise will explain it simply and beautifully at your first meeting). Both CI and SLT are not very common in Bangalore or in India.

Sonum in Indiranagar is a hidden gem for wellness that does not require you to spend countless hours talking about your childhood trauma in order to feel better (unless you want to talk about it and that’s totally fine!). As a late diagnosed neurodivergent adult my 30ish SLT sessions over 5 months formed the grounding for recovery from burnout related to workplace stress. The added CI-informed sessions for emotional regulation and understanding where my core beliefs are felt in my body was the icing on top.

At the end of my time there, I have the nervous system tools and the brain rewiring to set my life back up in a way that feels aligned and sustainable to me. If you are able to make the time and monetary investment this should be on the top of your list for life changing therapies. The benefit has been so enormous for me that it almost feels like I recieved cheat-codes for the game of life!”

As we witness the disturbing events and violence across the world it is easy to feel a sense of despair and helplessness. As practitioners we are not immune to this. This is why having a regular self-practice that is nourishing, restorative and harmonizing is vital.

It is so important that during practical seminars and workshops we dedicate 45-60 minutes each day to receiving listening therapy at the Auris Integralis Institute.

It is what resources us internally to help support our clients and model self-awareness and self-care for them.

Though we may not understand other cultures and other traditions, the thing we all know and understand is pain; be it physical or psychological (and it can be argued that those are the same). We all know pain. When I meet new clients or parents, whose children are my clients, their pain is palpable.

Systemic Listening Therapy can be the first step to alleviate some of the suffering. So can our abiding presence in a safe space - compassionate listening, if you will.

Paraphrased from the poem

“Be thankful,
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire, if you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you don’t know something, it gives you the opportunity to learn. Be thankful for the difficult times, during those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character. Be thankful for your mistakes, they will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a difference. Be thankful for past relationships, someone better suited to you is waiting out there. It is easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.”

Thank you 2025 for all you taught me.

Happy New Year!!

Walk slowly, act slowly. Be gentle with yourselves. The world will try to force you to move ever faster. But we are all only here for a moment. Every moment of you is precious! So slow down. Know yourself fully and share your light. It is needed in these dark times. So be gentle, breathe deeply and walk slowly.

Supporting my clients isn’t something that starts or stops once the headphones are on.

It begins with the greeting at the door, an intentional question, or a seemingly typical check-in. It happens during the assessment, each time the music changes, consultations and wrapping up after a session.

Whether it’s a few moments, 8 minutes or an hour. It is about understanding the importance of being seen, heard and witnessed within a safe space.

Back to “basics” is about returning to “humaness”; compassion in connection.

Taking care of ourselves is so important in this field, because what was broken in relationship can also heal in relationship.
