Dr Deepak Sharan has earned the Advanced Functional Medicine Clinician (AFMC) credential from The Kharrazian Institute, USA. This is the only advanced certification available in Functional Medicine and requires 300 hours of postgraduate education. He is one of only 10 clinicians (and the only one outside the USA and UK) to achieve this credential. He is also certified in Functional Medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Functional Medicine Academy, USA.

Dr Deepak Sharan, Chair of the Scientific Committee on Musculoskeletal Disorders of the International Commission of Occupational Health, participated in the 12th PREMUS International Conference on the prevention of Musculoskeletal Disorders in Tübingen, Germany, from September 8-12, 2025. He delivered the opening welcome speech, presented a scientific paper, chaired a session, and served as chair of the Scientific Committee on Musculoskeletal Disorders business meeting.
