Throwback to the days that shaped us 🤍
To our lovely doctors who worked day and night without complaints,
showed up with patience, consistency, and an endless will to help — always.
These moments remind us that Blue Ridge was never just a clinic, but a family built on care, trust, and teamwork 🐾💙
Thank you for everything you’ve given, and everything you continue to give.
Here’s wishing for this family to grow bigger, stronger, and kinder with time ✨
Forever grateful 🤍

If Indian cats went to therapy, these would be their exact issues 😼🛋️
From unwanted “billi ko uthao” moments to food injustice, surprise vet visits, and work-from-home trauma, nothing was resolved.
But snacks were definitely expected.
Indian cat parents, tell us, which session felt personal? 👀🐾

No, we’re not late…
we’re just holding on to a Christmas that felt like family 🎄❤️
From laughter in the clinic halls, Santa making surprise rounds, to moments that reminded us why we do what we do — together 🐾✨
We walked into 2026 with full power, full hearts,
and honestly… we’re still not over the New Year celebration vibes 😌🎉
Because some memories deserve more than just one day on the calendar 🤍

The Blue Ridge Pet Speciality Healthcare and Research Centre
It was the year 1986. A fresh batch of young minds graduated out of the Veterinary College in Hebbal, Bangalore to become the vanguards of the veterinary profession, some of whom would go on to become successful practitioners. One such bright young man was Dr Michel G Morton. Inspired by the life and times of James Herriot, he started his career as a pet practitioner focussing only on house calls.
In a career spanning 30 successful years, he has successfully created a large client base of contented pet parents, spread across the length and breadth of the city, Over the years, with the city gradually changing to meet the needs of its burgeoning IT industry, Dr Morton noticed that pet parenting also evolved dramatically and so did the demands and expectations of his client base, who now had easy access to information, a better disposable income but paucity of time. In the last few years, he noticed a demand for heightened attention to detail, with focus on scientific diagnosis and treatment of pets, along with emergence of new trends like pet grooming, pet behavioural study and professional pet training. At the same time, several exclusive pet stores were mushrooming 'ad hoc' all over the city, selling pet accessories, pet food, etc.
Determined to ensure his loyal set of clients are catered to well, Dr Morton decided to open a 'one-stop-shop' for all pet needs. And this is how, 'The Blue Ridge Pet Speciality Healthcare & Research Centre ' was born. Located in Kothanur, off the Hennur- Bagalur Road in Bangalore, it opened its doors to its first clients in April 2017. The Blue Ridge's goal is to provide the highest quality veterinary care that is convenient and delivered consistently with compassion and care. The facility is spacious, hygienic, state-of-the-art and well stocked with medicines and pet food for dogs and cats of all hues, age shapes & sizes.
In 2019, Dr Morton and Dr Swathi also joined hands to start the ‘The Blue Ridge Animal Welfare Trust’ that provides first aid to street animals free of cost.
The hospital provides the following services:
Ø Separate In-Patient and Out-Patient facilities including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry and homeopathy consultation
Ø An advanced diagnostic facility for pets including Digital X-ray, Ultra Sound, ECHO Cardiography, Laser Therapy, Urine Analysis, Automated Blood Counting Machine, Blood Biochemical Analyzers, ECG and more
Ø A 2000 sq ft well-stocked pet store – one of the largest in the City
Ø A Pet spa for pet indulgences and pet whole body treatments
Ø Hands-on workshops for veterinary professionals and pet parents
The Centre aims to provide holistic and comprehensive pet care under one roof, with the noble intention of fostering man-animal bonding and responsible pet parent citizenry. The Centre is ably administered by its Managing Director, Dr P. Nallappa, Ph.D. and the Chief Veterinarian, Dr. Michel Morton, M.V.Sc. The centre's staff comprises of an excellent team of Veterinary doctors: Dr Swathi Hareendran M.V.Sc , Dr Nidarshana Rabha M.V.Sc, Dr Andril Sajie B.V.Sc and junior trainee veterinarians along with talented pet groomers and pet handlers. The Centre also hosts interns who support the team from time to time, on a 'pro bono' basis.
