"Ajhu kachhu bigrio nahi jo prabh gun gawaee.
Kahu Nanak tih bhajan tih kachhu bigrio nahi ajhu."
'Nothing is truly ruined yet as long as one sings the praises of God.
O Nanak, by such devotion and worship, nothing is spoiled or lost even now.' -Guru Tegh Bahadur

We often find ourselves in a state of being powerless, unable to act, with no control or compulsion and unable to help ourself or change a situation... often blaming external factors.

Caught by lust, anger and attachment; we have forgotten the Eternal... everything seems to be lost and gone.

Nothing is lost yet, says Guru Tegh Bahadur, the Ninth founding Guru of Sikhism in the above shloka... a message that is one of hope and spiritual perseverance.

'There is still time for man to rescue himself. He can yet get across this worldly ocean unscathed. Only if he would care and awaken to the truth. There is still hope for him'.

Hope, truth and devotion!

Remember, God in any name or form is the same. It is all about how you are in your relationship with your God and yourself!

Think.

God bless us all.

"Humankind will proceed toward perfection when it feels that humanity is: A limitless sky and a shoreless ocean, an ever-blazing flame, an eternally gleaming light, a wind when it gusts and when it is calm, a cloud when it thunders and lightnings and rains, a stream when it sings or roars, a tree when it blossoms in the spring and disrobes in the autumn, a mountain when it towers, a valley when it descends, and a field when it is fertile or barren." - Kahlil Gibran.

Humanity in humans is fast disappearing... with it, everything else that is God's creation is getting destroyed or lost into oblivion.

Life is short... transient and inspite of posessing the capacity to fill this fleeting span with value through wisdom, virtue, love and service, we fail, either through negligence, confusion of priorities or bo***ge to ambition and habit.

We lead a life filled with busyness, stress and distractions that prevent true living.

Stop. Instead of squandering away, ask yourself the question "what would it mean for me, here and now, to make it genuinely worthwhile?”

Remember, God did not create you with the expectation of spending all your time in servitude to God without enjoying the rest of creation.

You are created in seed form to grow and evolve... everything around is to help you in that process with a caveat that the choice is yours alone.

Start appreciating things around. Make life beautiful and bountiful.

God bless us all.

सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज। अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः॥
"sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja, ahaṁ tvā sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ."
'Abandon all varieties of dharma and just surrender unto Me alone. I shall deliver you from all sins; do not fear.' -Bhagavad Gita (18.66)

Today is Mokshada Ekadashi also known as Gita Jayanti, the day on which Sri Krishna imparted the Bhagavad Gita (Gita-upadesha) to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

Krishna guides Arjuna from emotional psychological paralysis in Chapter 1 through graded paths: right understanding of the self (Ch. 2), selfless action (Ch. 3), knowledge and renunciation (Ch. 4–6), devotion and God’s supremacy (Ch. 7–12), and discrimination of guṇas and dharmas (Ch. 13–18), finally telling that surrendering to God supersedes and purifies all entanglements and doubts about right and wrong.

Looking at the Mahabharata in an esoteric sense, it must be construed as a battle that wages in every individual, every day. The war - the soul's struggle against restless senses, attachments and ignorance.

Kurukshetra - the inner battlefield of mind, body, and senses.
Draupadi - our body
The Pandavas - the five senses wedded to this body.
Kauravas (100 sons) - Tendencies and desires of the mind.
Dhritarashtra - Blind, ignorant mind generating these tendencies.
Gandhari - willful ignorance despite insight.
Pandu - weakened intellect.
Bhishma - the persistent ego... that cannot be killed but only transcended.
Karna - the 'self' with all virtues but flawed by ego attachment! noble yet misguided by pride and false loyalty.
Krishna - soul consciousness, the seat of intuitive wisdom and divine guidance.

The whole purpose is to gain freedom from sensory abuse and establishment of inner peace, wisdom and health through self-realization... the ultimate liberation.

Become free, be liberated... It is all YOU and your SELF!

God bless us all.

“nānānáṃ vā́ u no dhíyo ví vratā́ni jánānām”
'Various are our acts, (various) are the occupations of men;...' -Rig Veda (9.112.1)

Human thoughts and actions are diverse in nature. Strangely, some want all to be singular... and even the Gods are not spared.

Us versus them, In my scheme, they don't matter or exist and finally, some are more privileged has become the norm. A complete flip from “privilegia ne irroganto” (Roman law that claims 'privileges are not to be enforced') to 'Privilege is everything, even with God' concept.

How then can there be peace, honour, equanimity and universality? Former President of India Sri S Radhakrishnan said 'the highest good of man is not the pursuit of pleasure but moral goodness' but in today's power mongering divisive society, who will provide civil, moral, and spiritual guidance equitable to all?

By the way, the world is celebrating the 'National Goat Yoga Month'! Yes, it’s a whole month dedicated to the delightful fusion of yoga and goats, bringing joy and relaxation to many! ...a special time when yoga enthusiasts and animal lovers unite to practice yoga with goats.

Let's hope for a day when all of humanity unites to celebrate just humaneness in humanity... pure, simple and with no room for privilege!

God bless us all.

"santoṣaḥ sadhu-saṅgaśca vicāro’tha śamas tathā | eta eva bhavām bodhāv upāyās taraṇe nṛṇām"
'Contentment, good company, thorough investigation of the truth and cultivation of tranquillity – these only are the means to cross over the ocean of samsara.' -Yoga Vasistha (2:16-18)

The MahaKumbh is almost coming to an end for the present. People by the millions have gone to take a dip. The big question is, what is it that has been achieved!

Life is one big flow, a continuous process of transformation, a change that must be discernable... but we all hang on to the old, unwilling to change.

Parivartan - change, transformation... is the key to all of evolution and creation.
This doesn't happen overnight, but without an active involvement and commitment to change, one cannot attain anything.

Spirituality essentially takes you through a process of transformation from being 'self-centric' to 'self as center' to finally becoming selfless.

Becoming one with the universe makes you boundless... completely free. That is moksha - Nirvana or Liberation.

Attain it.

God bless us all.

"Hathon ki lakeeron pe mat ja ae Ghalib,
Naseeb unke bhi hote hain jin ke haath nahi hote."
'Do not go by the lines on the palm of hand Ghalib, Luck is bestowed even on those who do not have hands' -Mirza Ghalib

We as a society have completely surrendered to the thought that we are but mere puppets in the hands of fate. Everything about us is pre-ordained and life unfolds as per the script meant for each individual.

The Creator surely is not such an egoistic tyrant... each individual has the capability and choice to make one's own script, one's own world and universe.

What is needed is clarity of thought and dedicated action towards fulfillment. Most importantly, inclusivity, equanimity and magnanimity that make everything sweet.

Today is the International Childhood Cancer Day: A day observed to raise awareness about childhood cancer. A day to express support for children and adolescents with cancer, it's survivors and their families.

There exists a great need for equitable access to care and treatment for all children affected by cancer... but social and political will waxes and wanes depending on the whims of those facilitating.

Remember, while today is ours, tomorrow is that of children. Let us not destroy their tomorrow by ignoring today.

Think, act

God bless us all.
