Professional Approach Needed for Building a Business Network.

Building a business network is like constructing machinery it requires skill and it needs to be strong, durable, efficient and productive. To achieve all this you need to focus on education appropriate to building a business network.
Let us take a look at the flaws that exist among those who are involved in building a micro business network popularly known as network marketing or multi level marketing or direct selling business:
1. Those who are involved in network marketing are too bombastic, that is they consider the products they sell or the opportunity they are associated with as the best in the world , and also make false claims, such as it is endorsed by the United Nations when the fact is no branded product is ever endorsed by a public body like the United Nations and they also associate unrealistic reasons for joining their business opportunity, such as for achieving financial freedom, owning jet planes, palatial houses and so on in 2 to 5 years rather than simply associating it to just owning a business.
2.They hide the fact that it is a marketing opportunity and sale of products or services is at the base of the opportunity.
3.They present the opportunity in such a way as though it is a royal road to riches.
4. They prospect every individual they come across when that individual is least prepared to be prospected.
5. They invite people to their business meets through subterfuge, ( that is by hiding the real intention of inviting them.).
6. They make false claims concerning incomes of some of the people involved in the business and hide the fact that sustained incomes are based on sustained business volumes which, as in any business, can fluctuate.
7. Too much insistence on attending rally type seminars and business meets and subscription to business tools.
These are some of the flaws that one often comes across in those who are involved in developing this opportunity as a business opportunity! The fundamentals of any business should be very strong and these flaws weaken the fundamentals considerably. The reasons behind why these flaws creep in lie in the fact that those who are building this opportunity are not exposed to sound professional business education and are also deficient in the fundamentals of building a business network.
The responsibility of exposing people to this kind of education lies with the people whose team a person joins when he signs into the business as there is no University course dedicated to building a business network similar to an MBA programme.
The flaws mentioned above can be corrected through a professional approach:
1. Instead of showing school boy enthusiasm for the products and the business opportunity, you should be realistic and scientific in your presentation this requires sound product knowledge and also the science behind the need for those products.
2. Hiding the facts of the business, such as the need to sell products and services as it is primarily a marketing business, amounts to cheating and converts it from a business opportunity to a scam. Professionalism demands placing facts honestly.
3. Presenting the business as an easy road to success again amounts to falsification because all businesses have certain ways of working them and they have to be learned. There is no easy road to success in any field.
4. To sell products or sponsor someone into your business, you need to find the right kind of people and again there is a professional method of finding that out which again you need to learn.
5. You won’t need to use any subterfuge if you are professionally trained and have short listed the right kind of people to show your products or business opportunity.
6. Network marketing business is a business so like any other business it will have its fluctuations and there is no need to make some people heroes of this business and present them as evergreen heroes. Any business opportunity gets accepted not because of the achievements of any so called heroes or stars of that business, it gets accepted on the basis of how sound the fundamentals of that business are!
7. The beauty of building a business network lies in its flexi approach to things and this is supported beautifully by modern technology, such as the internet, android apps and so on. The focus should be on education which is largely recommendatory not mandatory.
Building a business network is an added feather in your financial cap but it has to be built and to build anything you need to have the desire backed by proper know-how! So if you are in a network marketing business or thinking of joining one then insist on receiving sound organized education such that your fundamentals will be strong not flawed.
