Ten Hints for A Skin Friendly Holi
===========================
1. Use a cold cream or moisturiser on the skin before going out
2. Ideally use a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher. Which is labelled Broad Spectrum
3. Use coconut oil in the hair especially near the roots and around the ears
4. Avoid bleach and facial for one week before and after Holi
5. Use colourless nail polish on the nail and around the nail folds before going out to play. Apply generously and thickly. You can wipe off with acetone afterwards
6. Keep yourself hydrated Keep your sunscreen with you. Carry and old cap or bandana and use it as a fashion accessory
7. If you like home remedies , make a paste with multani mitti, lemon, curd and rose water. Apply after the Holi festivities . Wash off with generous coconut oil and mild cleanser
8. Wear a bandana, sunglasses, and full sleeved clothing.
9. Avoid harsh colours and metallic colours. Use organic or natural colours where available.
10. Have lots of fun. But remember to ask permission. So that everyone is having fun too

Shyamala Bhave ma’am is an accomplished singer. She is recovering from a stroke. It was great after the consultation, when she ordered me to come closer and stand near her for a photograph. And then wanted me to sit so she could put an arm around me. Some people just radiate so much positivity, they make the world a better place.
