Magpie Speech Therapy MagPie is a Specialized Pediatric Speech-Language Early Intervention Center located in J.P. Nagar, Bangalore. That dream has become a reality!

Magpie Speech Therapy is the brainchild of Namrata Pai (Speech Language Pathologist). Our journey began in a small garage with 5 kids and one dream of becoming "THE" Pediatric Specialty Center offering World Class Services in the field of Speech Language Pathology. Magpie has been including internationally researched approaches in its clinical armour and consciously adapting them to suit Indian culture and families. We fill the gap for a ethical, high quality and niche (Child Centric) speech pathology practice in India. With each passing year, we are not only adding new expertise but also creating our own clinical modules based on internal R & D (Magpie THINK Labs). Our Approach is a mix of child led activities and direct teaching focus. Unlike schools of thought where "materials/toys" are the central characters, we carefully choose natural real life activities and replace toys as minimal teaching aids/accessories. Socially Interactive, dynamic activities with specific targeted language are the most significant factors for the child's social-emotional development. It enables the child to quickly generalize/use a newly learnt skill with a new person in a new environment.

Our Work Place: We wanted the décor of our center to be kid friendly, colorful, warm, welcoming……the list was endless. Above all, we wanted to keep the parents in mind too. Transparency and visibility in every therapy room making it accessible and comforting for parents was critical. Parents spend a major part of their day traversing therapy centers in midst of the maddening Bengaluru traffic and their child’s unexpected meltdowns. They need to uphold enthusiasm and energy to successfully be a part of the therapy session and support the efforts of the SLP. And that’s when the idea of Motivational Walls took birth. We consciously decided Magpie had to have the most amazing set of quotes celebrating children, their spirit, the parents, the therapists and the “Never Give Up” attitude in all of us.

MAGPIE is the brainchild of Namrata Pai (Speech Language Pathologist, Gold Medalist). It has been focusing on providing evidence based and objective personalized therapeutic services to numerous children in India and abroad. In addition to individual and group therapy services, Magpie also provides a full range of services for children with Speech, Language and Oral-Motor Disorders. These include Screenings, Consultations, Evaluations and Collaboration with Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Schools and other related service providers. Working at Magpie is a lot like working in a goal driven yet fun place. We pride in calling ourselves a startup. The people that include our team are extremely passionate about making a difference and we share a common goal of having a positive impact on every child we treat. We have 150+ children active on our rolls that include children for individualized assessments, intervention and group skill programs. We believe in following Evidence based practices in our clinic and have successfully conducted multiple Parent-Training and Social-Skills Programs. Our quest at Magpie has always been in making our core work as Speech Language Pathologists very tangible and objective. Our team has numerous international certifications and are up to date with the best practices on offer. Hence, we can proudly say that Speech Language Therapy at Magpie Matches Global Standards or even exceeds it!. A dash of positivity and optimism, a pinch of creativity and science and a splash of soul-searching and humor creates the perfect recipe for a Speech Language Pathologist.
