Urban Garden Urban Agriculture(Krishi) necessarily connoting the pursuit of horticulture around homes is now the new buzz in the life of people of the metropolises.

The premier farm university of the Nation, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. celebrating its Golden Jubilee year - of its establishment and consequent remarkable service to farm kind for five decades, among a plethora of activities being held - has embarked on addressing issues of urban horticulture. Remarkably so, in organising Urban Krishi Mela, the first of its kind (in its magnitude), in the country with the the commendable purpose of sowing the seeds of transformation in the mind set of urbanites to use their spaces for the betterment of their health and their surroundings and thus working towards building a conscientious urban community.

UAS-B will hold its annual Krishi Mela – 2014 at the GKVK campus in Bangalore from November 19 to 21, 2014. The event is open to all.
