Building on Session 2 of ๐Œ๐จ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐šโ€™๐ฌ Qualitative Research Workshop Series, faculty and masterโ€™s students deepened their engagement with qualitative methods in Prosthetics and Orthotics.

Led by ๐ƒ๐ซ ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ก (๐๐ก๐ƒ) Research Specialist, the session combined structured discussions with practical insights, enabling clinical and academic participants to strengthen methodological rigor, ethical practice, and critical analysis in research.

This ongoing series reflects Mobility Indiaโ€™s commitmentโ€”together with expert leadershipโ€”to institutional research capacity building, empowering educators and clinicians to advance evidence-based rehabilitation practice.

Spotlighting Mobility Indiaโ€™s activities to Government officials

Another significant visit took place -Mobility India (MI) was privileged to welcome staff members from one of the premier national institutes in India, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDUNIPPD), an institution in the field of rehabilitation and assistive technology.
The delegation visited MI under the direction of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPWD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ&E), Government of India, as part of an official exposure visit.

This brief yet meaningful interaction provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the MI Centre as a regional and vibrant hub for assistive technology. The visit fostered a valuable exchange of knowledge, experiences, and professional insights, further strengthening MIโ€™s commitment to collaborative growth and innovation in prosthetics, orthotics, and rehabilitation services.

The session provided an important learning platform for future Prosthetics and Orthotics professionals, strengthening their understanding of disability inclusion, rights-based approaches, policy gaps, and the broader social responsibilities of healthcare practitioners. The discussion was enriched by a diverse panel of experts, including individuals with lived experience of disability, reinforcing the importance of inclusive perspectives in professional practice.

The event reflected Mobility Indiaโ€™s commitment to preparing technically competent and socially conscious P&O professionals and concluded with the distribution of student prizes.

๐Œ๐จ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐š successfully organized a ๐ก๐š๐ง๐๐ฌ-๐จ๐ง ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐€๐ข๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The workshop was designed to strengthen emergency preparedness and workplace safety, equipping participants with essential life-saving skills relevant to the clinical responsibilities of Prosthetists and Orthotists, who often work closely with patients in acute and rehabilitation settings.

Certification was awarded to our Masterโ€™s students in Prosthetics and Orthotics, enabling them to respond confidently during medical and rehabilitation-related emergencies. The programme saw active participation from students and clinicians, fostering collaborative, hands-on learning.

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to excellence in P&O education, professional competency, and community safety, while reinforcing the critical role of Prosthetists and Orthotists as integral members of the healthcare team.

Setting a new benchmark for spinal rehabilitation training in India, ๐Œ๐จ๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ข๐š conducted a high-level spinal specialisation course from 3rd to 8th November 2025 with advanced inputs in Schroth Method scoliosis correction, focused on multidisciplinary learning, local capacity building, and clinical excellence.

Heartfelt thanks to the International Committee of the Red Cross for their consistent support in advancing spinal rehabilitation education in India, and to Human Studies, Germany, for their valuable training support, which significantly enhanced the technical depth.
