𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 proudly welcomed its 𝟐𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐁𝐁𝐒 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 (𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓) through a 𝟏𝟎-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 designed to nurture knowledge, compassion, and professionalism in the doctors of tomorrow.

The event commenced with lamp-lighting ceremony led by 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐒 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐚, 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥, 𝐈𝐌𝐒, symbolizing the light of learning and service. Over the next ten days, students explored everything from academic foundations to wellness, communication, ethics, and first-aid training, as a holistic start to their medical journey.

From language and computer classes to BLS and skill-lab sessions, yoga, sports, and talent hunts, the programme blended learning with life lessons. Inspiring sessions by eminent SRMS medicos including 𝐃𝐫 𝐑𝐏 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡 (Medical Superintendent), Dr Rohit Sharma (Dean PG), 𝐃𝐫 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐠 (Dean UG) alongside 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐣 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐢, 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐚, 𝐃𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐤 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧, 𝐃𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐉𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥, 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐢𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, 𝐃𝐫 𝐀𝐛𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐯 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐲, 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚, 𝐃𝐫 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, and many others. 𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝑺𝑹𝑴𝑺, 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕; 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒅…

As the chill of winter set in and festive lights brightened homes, the 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐌𝐒), 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 chose to celebrate Diwali a little differently by spreading light where it was needed most. Well, SRMS didn’t just celebrate the festival of lights, it became the light for many.

Under the 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, the 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 students led a touching 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 - “𝑬𝒌 𝑼𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒅, 𝑽𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝑲𝒊”, raising funds to bring smiles to under-five children of village Amberpur.

What began as small contributions, even as little as ₹1, soon turned into a wave of kindness. Students, doctors, teachers, and staff from every department, Anatomy to Anaesthesia, Paediatrics to Pathology, came together to make a difference. The heartfelt initiative helped provide woollen clothes, baby essentials, stationery, toys, and even 250 warm blankets to families in need. Every gift was personally handed over by SRMS students, carrying not just warmth, but love, dignity, and human connection.

The excitement, energy, and sportsmanship reached a fever pitch as SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences
(IMS), Bareilly lifted the SRMS Medical Cricket Cup 2025, defeating Rohilkhand Medical College & Hospital (RMCH) by 7 wickets in a nail-biting grand finale held at the New Cricket Stadium, SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly. However, SRMS IMS won the toss and opted to field.

The four-day inter-college cricket tournament (October 13–17) saw fiery performances from Government Medical College (GMC), Haldwani; RMCH; SRMS IMS; and VMCH, each battling hard through action-packed league matches. The final clash turned into a spectacle of grit and glory as SRMS IMS chased down RMCH’s 124/10 (19.4 overs) with ease, scoring 127/3 in just 19 overs.

Dr Rehan Ali (IMS) stole the show, bagging both ‘Player of the Match’ and ‘Best Batter’ titles for his explosive 65 runs off 49 balls, while Laraib Ali Khan (IMS) was named Best Bowler for his stellar performance. The celebration reached its peak with a felicitation ceremony graced by Aditya Murti (Director Administration, SRMS IMS) and Dr MS Butola (Principal, IMS), who presented the winning trophy amid loud cheers, applause, and an electrifying sense of pride and unity, in the presence of Dr Sarangdhar Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Anatomy, RMCH, Bareilly; Dr Vishwadeep Singh, Professor, Anaesthesia; Dr Deepak Charan, Associate Professor, Psychiatry Department etc.

𝟏𝟐th convocation of srms medical, paramedical & nursing institutions held, honouring excellence!

𝘈 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘶𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 4𝟐𝟕 𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬… A day of pride, achievement, and new beginnings unfolded (on October 4, 2025), as SRMS TrustInstitutions—SRMS Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), SRMS Institute of Paramedical Sciences (IPS), and SRMS College of Nursing hosted their 12 TH CONVOCATION Ceremony at SRMS College of Engineering & Technology (CET), Bareilly.

The grand event celebrated the success of graduates in MBBS (Batch 2019-24), MD/MS (Batch 2021-24), BSc & MSc Paramedical (Batch 2019-22), and BSc & MSc Nursing (Batch 2019-22), who were honored with degrees, medals, certificates of appreciation, cash prizes & the coveted Gold, Silver & Bronze medals. From University Toppers to All-rounders, Meritorious Students, Star Performers & Special Awardees, every recognition symbolized perseverance & passion.

The ceremony began with the academic procession of dignitaries in robbing tent & lamp-lighting by Shri Dev Murti, Chairman, SRMS Trust, who declared the convocation ‘open’ in the presence of Chief Guest, Dr Rajiv Bahl (Secretary, Govt. of India, Dept. of Health Research & DG, ICMR), Aditya Murti, Secretary (SRMS Trust), Dr (Retd Air Marshal) MS Butola, Principal, SRMS IMS; Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Principal IPS; Dr Muthu Maheshwari, Principal, Nursing College, alongside principals and faculties of SRMS Trust Institutions.

Highlights:
