For children below 6 years, big trampolines and trampoline parks are not recommended. At this age, bones are still soft and developing, and repeated high-impact jumping can put excessive stress on joints, growth plates, and the spine, increasing the risk of injuries and bone damage. Safe, age-appropriate play with proper supervision is always the best choice for healthy growth and development.

Feeling truly honored to be invited by my alma mater, Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi, to speak with occupational therapy students on entrepreneurial skills. This university has shaped me both as a student and as a lecturer, and returning now as a speaker feels incredibly special. Grateful for this full-circle moment and the opportunity to give back to future OTs.
Thank you โค

โจ Animal walks are not just fun play! ๐ต๐ธ๐ง When kids perform them between two lines, they learn to stay within boundaries which improves focus, attention, and organized movement.
๐โโ๏ธโก๏ธโฌ ๏ธ Along with this, animal walks build strength, balance, and coordination, while supporting sensory regulation. ๐ A playful way to boost both body and mind! โ
> Swings are not just for playโthey are powerful therapeutic tools. Different types of swings help stimulate the vestibular system, improve balance, coordination, core strength, attention, and emotional regulation. When used in a structured and guided way, swing-based activities support sensory integration and overall functional development in children, making therapy both effective and enjoyable.

Developmental patterns can vary widely, and this video does not aim to compare or show differences between a neurotypical and a neurodivergent brain. It highlights that while neurotypical children often show more predictable behavior, neurodivergent children may show less predictable responsesโyet functional abilities exist in both. Many neurodivergent children benefit significantly from therapy, support, and the right environment, leading to meaningful improvements in skills and independence. At the same time, it is important to acknowledge honestly that in some cases, despite consistent intervention, certain functions may not be achieved fully. Acceptance, realistic goals, and individualized support remain as important as progress itself.

Visual, auditory, proprioceptive & olfactory stimming are self-regulation tools, not bad habits.
They help children calm their nervous system, process sensory input, express emotions, and feel safe.
Instead of stopping stimming, we observe why itโs happening and support the child with the right sensory strategies for healthy development.
