He was best known for his comic roles in films including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro (1983), Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984), Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), Main Hoon Na (2004), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Fanaa (2006) and Om Shanti Om (2007).
Satish Shah made his film debut in 1978 with Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan and has since appeared in over 250 films, predominantly in comedic roles.
He died on 25 October 2025 from kidney-related issues, aged 74.

(5 September 1955 Jaipur โ€“ 23 October 2025 Mumbai) was an Indian advertising professional and the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide (2019) and Executive Chairman India of Ogilvy.
He was also a Screenwriter.

He was the recipient of the LIA Legend Award in 2024, and the Padma Shri award in 2016.

Pandey is also credited with shaping a distinct indigenous influence on Indian advertising that was earlier under the influence of western advertising and ideas.

Veteran actor Govardhan Asrani, who endeared himself to the audiences by playing the eccentric jailer in โ€œSholayโ€ and many other memorable roles in over 300 films, passed away in a hospital on Monday 20 October 2025. He was 84.

Manoj Kumar (born Harikrishan Giri Goswami; 24 July 1937 โ€“ 4 April 2025) was an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter, lyricist and editor who worked in Hindi cinema.
He was one of the most successful and finest actors in the history of Indian cinema.

He was known for acting and making films with Patriotism and he was given the nickname Bharat Kumar.

Kumar was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai, where he died due to chronic heart-related complications. The secondary cause of death was decompensated liver cirrhosis, according to the medical certificate issued by the hospital. Kumar died at the age of 87 in Mumbai on 4 April 2025

Shyam Benegal (14 December 1934 โ€“ 23 December 2024) was an Indian film director, screenwriter and documentary filmmaker. Often regarded as the pioneer of Parallel Cinema, he is widely considered as one of the greatest filmmakers post 1970s.

Shyam Benegal was born in Hyderabad to Sridhar B. Benegal who was prominent in the field of photography.

Starting his career, In 1959, he started working as a copywriter at a Mumbai-based advertising agency, Lintas Advertising, where he steadily rose to become the creative head.
He made his first Documentary film in Gujarati, Gher Betha Ganga (Ganges at the Doorstep) in 1962. Benegal's first four feature films Ankur (1973), Nishant (1975), Manthan (1976) and Bhumika (1977) made him a pioneer of the New Wave Film movement of that period.

Pankaj Udhas died, aged 72, of a prolonged illness (Pancreatic Cancer) at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, on 26 February 2024.

Pankaj Udhas (17 May 1951 โ€“ 26 February 2024) was an Indian ghazal and playback singer known for his works in Hindi cinema, and Indian pop.
He started his career with the release of a ghazal album titled Aahat in 1980 and subsequently recorded many hits like Mukarar in 1981, Tarrannum in 1982, Mehfil in 1983, Pankaj Udhas Live at Royal Albert Hall in 1984, Nayaab in 1985 and Aafreen in 1986. After his success as a ghazal singer, he was invited to appear and sing for a film by Mahesh Bhatt, Naam, in which his song "Chitthi Aayee Hai" (A Letter Has Arrived) became an instant hit. He did playback singing for many Hindi films after that. Albums and live concerts around the globe brought him fame as a singer.
In 2006, Pankaj Udhas was awarded Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award
