AUTUMN

These trees do not grieve for these dry leaves that are ready to leave them or already have.

They readily let them go, to be one with the earth, wherefrom they know, they will nurture new growth.

The trees also know with the change in season, new leaves will grow, that spring is round the corner.

Then why should we humans grieve for that whose time is up in our lives, be it relationships, people or material things.

Attachments and grief creates energetic blocks in our own growth, as well as in the natural flow of life.

The Art of Falling

In a world that rushes like a bullet train,
I am a leaf that broke away from its branch.
I float in the air
not flying, not falling
Just caught in time.

The wind scares me,
sometimes goes soft,
sometimes wild.
I watch. Am I free
Or just lost my way.

The sky looks endless,
The earth feels far.
I can never go back to my origin
I stretch my thoughts like roots searching for soil
That isn’t there yet.

Sometimes I fight the breeze,
wanting to go back,
wanting to know where I belong.
But maybe the truth is
Even a falling leaf is clueless
before it touches the ground.
