Introduction

The Department of Pulmonary Medicine, ESIC Hospital, Bhiwadi, organized a health talk to spread awareness about Tuberculosis (TB) and the government initiative Nikshya Mitra under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP). The session aimed to educate participants about TB prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and the importance of community support for TB patients.

Program Highlights

1. Welcome Address:
The program began with a welcome note by the Head of Pulmonary Medicine, emphasizing the importance of TB awareness in workplace and community settings.

2. Health Talk on Tuberculosis:

Causes, symptoms, and modes of transmission of TB were explained.

Importance of early diagnosis through sputum examination and CBNAAT testing was highlighted.

Standard DOTS treatment and availability of free medicines under NTEP were discussed.

Myths and misconceptions about TB were addressed.

3. Awareness on Nikshya Mitra:

Participants were informed about the Nikshya Mitra initiative, which provides nutritional and social support to TB patients through community donors, organizations, and individuals.

The role of corporates and community volunteers in adopting TB patients was explained.

4. Interactive Session:

Queries from employees and participants were addressed by the doctors.

Educational materials (pamphlets/posters) were distributed.

🏥✨ In-House Health Camp | ESIC Hospital, Bhiwadi ✨🏥

Under the banner of Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan (SNSPA), an in-house health camp was organized at ESIC Hospital, Bhiwadi.

👩‍⚕️ Women beneficiaries were screened for:
✅ Hemoglobin (Hb)
✅ Random Blood Sugar (RBS)
✅ Blood Pressure (BP)
✅ Breast Carcinoma
✅ Cervical Carcinoma
✅ Antenatal Care (ANC) visits

Participants received medical consultation, preventive advice, and awareness talks emphasizing the importance of regular check-ups, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices. 🌸

Blood Donation Camp under SNSPA at ESICH, Bhiwadi(2/2)

On 26th September 2025, a Blood Donation Camp was organized under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (SNSPA) by the Department of Pathology, ESICH Bhiwadi.

A total of 18 donors came forward and contributed selflessly, leading to the collection of approximately 18-20 units of blood.

All donors were provided with refreshments and tokens of appreciation as a gesture of gratitude for their noble act. Their valuable contribution was acknowledged and applauded.

This camp highlighted the spirit of compassion, community service, and commitment towards saving lives.

Dry Eye Screening Camp for Women: Ophthalmology Department
As part of the Women’s Health Screening initiative at ESIC Hospital Bhiwadi, the Ophthalmology Department organized a Dry Eye Screening Camp specifically for females, as per the circular schedule under Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan.
Camp Overview
Today on 24/09/2025, 24 females were screened thoroughly for dry eye disease. The screening process incorporated multiple modern ophthalmic diagnostic modalities to ensure comprehensive evaluation and accurate diagnosis by
Slit Lamp Examination
Non-contact Tonometry
Fundus Examination
Schirmer Test

Key Findings
Out of the 24 women screened:

3 women were clinically diagnosed with Dry Eye Disease. Each diagnosed patient was counseled and started on individualized treatment, including medical therapy and lifestyle modification advice.

Remaining participants were educated regarding eye health, preventive tips, and symptomatic management for digital eye strain and dryness.

Impact and Awareness
The camp achieved its main objectives:
Early identification and management of dry eye, a condition commonly overlooked in women, especially after menopause.
Awareness about the importance of regular eye examinations, balanced nutrition, and proper digital screen habits.
Specialized attention to empower women with practical solutions and long-term strategies for eye health.

Organizing Team
This successful camp was led by the Ophthalmology Department, who ensured protocol-based screening, patient counseling, and active community education.
We thank all participants, hospital staff, and supporting leadership for making this initiative a model for proactive women’s health.
