I had a truly inspiring experience at IMMAST that has left me feeling empowered and motivated.

As a Post Graduate, I was in awe of knowledge and, yet, down to earth nature of Dr Renuka Bradoo madam, Dr Anagha Kurulkar-Joshi madam and Dr Ksh*tij Shah sir.
Today, even after 9 years, I still feel that there is so much more to learn from all the three teachers.

Continuous pain over neck, without any infection, can be a sign of elongation of a bone called styloid, which causes compression of a nerve.
Such patients are often prescribed antibiotics and pain killers which are completely ineffective.
Only treatment is removal of the bone.

Tracheal stenosis or blockage of airway is an unfortunate complication of a life saving procedure of tracheal intubation and providing ventilator support.
In a few cases, this cases blockage of the airway, which causes dependence on tracheostomy tube for breathing, which also prevents speech production.
The only treatment is removing the part of trachea involved and suturing the normal parts together again.
A T-tube placed to support newly sutured parts and prevent recurrence.
But this tube allows the patient to talk and lead a near normal life.

Snoring and mouth breathing during sleep is a silent killer.
It can lead to various heart diseases, Hypertension, Diabetes and Obesity.
This is often neglected by many patients as it doesn't possess an immediate threat.
Diagnosis and treatment of this condition is usually simple.

This patient had complaints of snoring and recurrent sleep disturbances for a very long time.
He underwent surgery around 8 months ago and is now completely free of snoring and is having an uninterrupted sleep every night.
